I read that we won’t be able to use the boost on the new cata races being Worgen and Goblin when it launches, but when pre-patch hits along with the new class/race combinations could we use the 80 boost on say a Troll Druid, or Dwarf Mage?
Most likely.
I don’t think they made an official statement yet have they? They didn’t allow it for BE and Draenai so might be a prepatch leveling rush
I don’t know why people make these threads.
- Only Blizzard would know and they haven’t said anything.
- There’s a pattern to follow. Crusade didn’t allow its boost on the new races. This means you shouldn’t expect cataclysm’s boost to be usable on its new races either.

Hopefully not tbh, would be rather rude to players who won’t or cannot swipe to play the new races.
Shouldn’t be able to boost a new race or class, that’s arguably P2W imo. Gives swipers a huge head start on prepping their new worgen/goblin characters for cata launch.
As for new race/class combos, I think that’s probably fine to allow swipers to have at it. Probably should not be able to boost this either, but I personally would be more meh about it.
I’m asking a question because I don’t have past experience to know these “patterns” and may have missed them saying something about it in a recent interview at Blizzcon.
No need for miserable people like you in this thread ![]()
specific class/race combos dont have their own realm first achievement, goblins and worgens will however. so there’s a good chance you’ll be able to boost the new combos instantly.
