I’m part of the minority that actually really enjoys RBGs and with this cross-faction thing it’s easier than ever to form a group (when it actually works). If the PvP team is on the ball going into DF we can see the best iteration of RBGs we’ve ever seen, the only real issue is the lack of variety in flag carriers.
In Shadowlands the only real option is guardian. If you ask RBGers why guardian is the only viable option they’re going to tell you its because you can stealth past teamfight and pick up the flag without using a single cd. But in reality it’s because of a few reason stacked on top of each other. They have a legendary that makes them immune to CC while berserk/incarn is active. They have insane self healing with frenzy regeneration plus the conduit that procs a free frenzy regeneration when they get low. If you don’t apply pressure to them as soon as they pick up the flag they will cross the map before you can even see them with Travel form/Dash. If this wasn’t enough of a reason to bring a guardian over other tanks they also have track humanoids in Cat which makes it even easier to micro manage enemy positioning and start kiting.
In Bfa I remeber Guardians being the best flag carrier as well but I also recall Vengeance Dhs also being viable. I really think if they buff the other tank’s survivability(nerf their dmg so they aren’t good in arenas) and add PvP talents to them specifically designed for flag carrying to add tank options we could fill up groups faster and play the game. If you have any interesting ideas to add I’d like to see them.
TL;DR: Guardians op, buff other tanks to FC so we can play instead of afk in lfg
I’m all for more representation I agree that stealth is super strong in pvp. When your team gets AB/Gilneas that guardian druid can attempt assaults and as long as he is stealthed the enemy team will assume he’s guarding. That’s strong by itself and idk what to tweak to balance that.
I don’t really think guardians defending nodes is that op, I do think the legendary giving you 30 sec immunity is strong since it gives your team enough time to rotate and defend but I dont think that legendary will be in DF regardless. I’m speaking more about flag carrying.
Sorry made the post through my phone, didnt even realize how long this post was. I don’t really care about the legendary because I don’t see it coming back in DF. Since Vanilla druids have had a monopoly on flag carrying, with the introduction of PvP talents I don’t know why we can’t have new FC options is my issue.
If the rewards from rated BGs didn’t destroy playing randoms, the game would be better.
Like now, the rated players got all their gear perks that can only be had through rated play and are looking for easy wins in the randoms.
And getting in a random has been pretty much impossible, “cant get rated unless you are rated”
Unbalance in classes is always a thing but you can adjust to it.
Being completely out geared in a system that will not ever allow you to be equal just sucks

That may be true for some pvpers, but for me, it’s the opposite. RBGs have ruined unrated pvp for me because of how frustrated I get at my own team for the dumb things they constantly do.
I’m hoping it gives something similar/beneficial to all specs like that for RBGs. We should be able to tailor our specs for what content we’re running.
Not necessarily immunity, but something that is as useful. Like a longer spectral sight for Veng. DH or idk. If you’re giving CC immunity to a class that makes it broken for 10 sec (on however long of a CD) the others need something too.
Wouldn’t even know where to start with Warrior, or DK since they haven’t been relevant for forever.
But this still makes Guardian the GO TO for RBGs for right now. Even if it’s just 10 seconds.
Stealth - Sleeper for 10 sec - Brambles for 12 sec - teammates should be on the way.
On paper I thought the triple leap legendary would make protection warriors somewhat enticing but in reality, mobility<tankyness seems like the play and protection’s just arent as tanky as Guardians.
I think if all tanks were as Tanky as guardian I feel like there’d be more options even if guardian is better but it just seems like the other specs just die too fast? I don’t really know why
I guess we won’t know till we see the talent trees but blood dks don’t look good so far and guardians have auto-proc Frenzy regen in their guardian tree
