Can we stop with the gloom and doom about Dragonflight?

But that’s what business want if your logical you might not buy the product . You mean not everyone thinks there parents aren’t sexy .

I’m sorry, I have to go

Vulpera ladies and gentlemen

Honestly, people will complain even if they get everything they want. People like complaining.

OMG no i dont, i dont always complain im so tired of hearing this like, what the hell, just because im not afraid to point out an issue does not mean im complaining im just trying to make a game that i love be actually good again.

This is the only thing I’m not to sold on yet. Dragonriding looks like fun but I think it’s going to be a huge grind. It sounds like we have to have it to get to places so I don’t think it’s going to be optional. Have to wait till release to find out.

It true look at all the commercials do they go about what is good about their products or do they appeal to your emotions?

Well here is the thing, grinding is not a bad thing.
The problem is the grind needs to be wroth the reward. this was something blizzard actually understood in past EXP. The best example i use of this is the neather drake in BC.

That grind took FOREVER, but also it was a really rewarding grind letting you get a mount that to this day nothing can really compare to.

Grinding for good looking things like that, or early good epic gear is fine. Grinding just to be able to be viable is not fun.

It part of our plan to take over lots an lots of us SOON MY PRETTY it will happen.

I would also like to tag onto this and say that grinding for mounts in the sense that you’re returning to the same spot every day just to kill the same mob in the hopes that the mount drops is also not fun.

But gloom and doom drives views.

Thats just RNG, i have been a long time supporter of whats called linier progression.

In that every day you log in, or do an activity you see progress being made, the problem with modern wow is that the goal post is also moving. Its like running on a treadmill and you can never really reach it.

Old school wow had a set goal you could actually reach.

This has been a more hyped expansion than the last two. It’s not doom and gloom. As far as complaints go, that’s NEVER going to stop. It’s what people do.

Me to.

No.

Overall this looks good, but it’s stuff we won’t be doing. I don’t care for the crafting changes, I like the simplistic crafting in WoW vs FF14.

Yea finally… I’m not jumping for joy because they are doing something that should have happened so long ago… give me a break.

:face_with_monocle: No.

lol No it’s not. What exactly is there to look forward to? Dragonriding? I don’t care about it… being stuck to a few dragon mounts doesn’t sound fun. I’m calling it now, it’s going to be fun for a few weeks tops and then it’s going to be annoying af. When I’m travelling I just want to get there…

My main is a belf hunter. Any new customizations? Nope. Anything new for the other races besides the lizards? Nope.

You listed stuff we won’t be doing, great. What exactly will we be doing? Grinding mount customizations? What about people that don’t like dragonriding?

I don’t mind a grind but a grind just to make us grind is not fun. A huge grind just to be able to play the game is not fun. The grinds need to be optional not mandatory just like the neather drake.

World of Warcraft was released in November 2004. By December, the doom and gloom had started and any change would lead to the destruction of the game. We all know that Cataclysm lead to the destruction of the game but anyway…

Any change will lead to doom and gloom. Dragonflight will be far from the perfect game. I am not happy about the new talent trees. I am not happy of yet another expansion that has absolutely no character progression outside of inflated gear item level. However, the expansion still looks interesting and since I basically got it for free because of the pre-order add-ons, I will play it. The zones look great and hopefully have a lot of little places to explore.

This is what I’m worried about. And I agree, I heard someone compare DR to a jumping puzzle, I don’t want to have to hit 50 buttons to go from point A to B. And I don’t want a big dragon mount be the only thing I can use to fly. Dragonflight looks fun so far but I’m not sold on this dragon riding.

I will remember your name (flattered? you’re welcome) and enjoy seeing you at the next new store mount complaint thread where you’re talking about how cool it is or w/e.

And I guess that’s where we’ll end this.
You pretend to be outraged. Pretend you’re quitting. Whilst proudly proclaiming the fact that you waste $1000 a month on this game. That isn’t a brag, that’s a cry for help.

To expand on that, if they were listening we wouldn’t have dragon riding at all. We would be buying flight for gold at max level and using our favorite flying mounts week 1.

I wonder how many new character customizations we could have had without all this time spent on another single expansion system…
