I remember there was an option somewhere to freeze wow game time every so often due to irl events (losing pc etc) and it wouldn’t start up until you started playing again? I cant find it. Does blizz still offer this?
Never really been an option.

As far as I know outside of, I think military personnel, Blizzard has never offered this.

Blizzard doesn’t freeze game time. It may be possible to be credited with the missed time. Once you have come back you can ask for missed time. There would be a record of you not logging in to the game while you had active time. It is not guaranteed, but in some cases an exception is made.

Essentially, this. It generally not offered but we understand life circumstances can come up that may be cause for an exception. For example, being hospitalized after purchasing a 6-month subscription and being unable to play for 3 of those months.
But time can not be proactively frozen. It’ll continue to run down after activated until it runs out.
