I see more and more GDKPs forming every lockout. Ive been reporting them and i think if other players do the same we can fight this atrocious gold buying era-style endgame and have a normal endgame for once.
There’s nothing wrong with trading gold for in game services.
Youre right when the gold is legitimately made. Unfortunately botted gold is always part of a GDKP pot, which YOU then acquire(along with 9 other players)
So i guess that means if somebody buys gold and just gives it to me, im not part of the problem right
Blizzard released a statement years ago stating they have no problem with GDKP raids. Your reports will literally do nothing.
Lmao I saw you spamming in LFG chat earlier about reporting GDKP advertisements.
Unfortunately botted gold is always part of a GDKP pot
It happens, maybe even more often than not, but this isn’t always true. I for example have made ~2k gold legitimately (through TSM flipping/sniping, summon sales, etc) and have not bought gold at all nor ran a bot. Though I will admit I may be in the minority there.
The thing is, GDKP’s encourage geared characters to continue running content even when they have no other reason to do so. My hunter is near full BiS (except epic xbow) and I run GDKP’s for some extra gold and to buy the xbow if it drops.
This isn’t really true. Mass reporting is a huge problem in the game, because the reports are fielded by an automated system.
People kill bots on SoD PvP servers and end up getting a 7 day ban because the bots mass report people who kill them. Let that sink in.
If people start mass reporting GDKP advertisements, those people will see a ban that they will have to appeal, which usually takes several days (or weeks) to get a response to.
Yes, report each advertisement.
Good luck to you or anyone else that tries. You won’t make a dent. Most of the GDKPs are run out of discords with multiple organizers. You will see a fraction of them in general chat.
Also, isn’t it against TOS to mass report people for something that isn’t against the TOS? Exploiting Blizzard’s broken system, just because you don’t like GDKP raids, doesn’t mean it’s accepted.
Oh it’s accepted. Blizzard doesn’t care. It’s literally automated.
As someone else noted, a guy in my guild got a 2 day ban for killing bots on a PvP server. It seems they have a private discord where they post people who’ve killed them and they mass report to get them banned.
People mass report people for no reason all the time. If you get a 2 day or a 7 day and it takes Blizzard 10 days to respond to the appeal, the mass reporters have already won.
Daily reeeeeeee thread? Lets gooooooo!!! GDKP never banned ever, ever! =).
I thought GDKP was already banned in SoD? Don’t know I got a guild I run with.
I report GDKPs that are posted in LFG
Always figured they function as a service, as players are buying/trading items. Thus any advertisements for them belong in trade chat
I absolutely hate GDKP. The spam on Wrath servers were just blowing up trade so hard that you couldnt even read anything. It was almost as fast as a Hololive Pekora/Korone chat.
It really does need to be banned. They wont as it makes Blizzard money. It really ruins the economy and game. Whats the point of having hard earned gear if some Goldtooth spawn has equal or better gear because he threw money at it?
Done. I am now reporting every gdkp post i see.
you know how many times i’ve given gold to someone that won an item i really wanted but they got. now all my gold is self made. is that so wrong
Yes. The issue is grand scale. If its like a 1 off or so then its not so bad. Doesnt make the impact. But if EVERYONE does it, then why raid as a person worse than you can have your gear or better? Whats the point?
I went to the AH and reported everyone who posted an auction on it.
I think if other players do the same we can fight this atrocious gold buying era-style end game and have a normal endgame for once.
Good. I hate those 1%ers . I hope they all get banned.
Are you admitting to reporting players for something that is not against ToS?
Falsely reporting players is against the rules. Encouraging other people to falsely report players is also against the rules, I think.
Good luck, it’s usually the people who don’t break rules who get punished anyway.
