Can we please release our remix characters early?

Yeah they should give us the option. I have mutliple 70s that id like to start playing dragonflight with while keeping a couple on remix to farm cosmetics. Having to wait til the event is over is a huge mistake imo.

I can get behind this. Giving people the option to transfer two weeks before TWW drops would be cool. It’s not going to hurt anything unless it’s a PITA to program it /shrug

You definitely can. I’ve done it on 10 races so far
level to 50 in ReMix and create a trial to do the Heritage armor quest then delete it.

I’m not against it but I also realize the reality that its likely far easier for blizzard to convert them all at once, and most games with seasonal characters don’t enable going back and forth

Create a trial character of any class of your choosing and do the heritage armor class. That’s what I did for the human one recently.

I believe remix characters, no matter what their power in remix are being placed in retail with generic 420ish gear - akin to a boosted character.

Which is
bad. The pre-patch event has a lot of catchup for alts, but 2 day is a big ask (if true).

Dump our remix characters into retail as is.

I’ll hard disagree, even some of the biggest WoW streamers were guessing there would be more time so if people that in touch with WoW were thinking it no way it was clear

I was under the impression that the pre patch currency will be warbound, so basically boa
you can do the event on a retail toon so your remix is ready asap

All this is telling me is that theres even more reason to stop praising streamers and the ground they walk on because they dont actually know anything

Most bad takes on GD are streamer induced

What preparation are you talking about

Nobody should have gone into Remix expecting to be allotted time to “learn how the class plays in retail” between when it ends and when TWW launches.

It was certainly never confirmed but not even implied that this would be the case. Streamers have a collective three brain cells between them and do everything for clicks and ad revenue. I don’t care what, and I cannot stress this enough, ANY of them say.

Nah, most bad takes are audience induced. Streamers are mostly captured by their audiences, so they say things that make that audience happy after reading the room enough to do so, there are few if any exceptions to this.

Yes, this means that the streamer you like that says positive things is only doing it because you like to hear it and vice versa.

Sometimes yes, not always. For example Max doesn’t give a flying F why his chat wants he is trying to guess so he can plan for their RWF.

If anyone was planning their RWF around Remix

Not at all, I’m talking about the date he guessed TWW would drop. He didn’t say anything about remix or even take part in it but they were thinking mid September which is why a lot of people were counting like 3 weeks of prepatch after remix

So he was wrong. That happens a lot. Especially with streamers.

Basing your expectations on their word is kind of
well
simple.

Most of these people have the same credentials that half of the wow forum does which is just: “Been playing the game for a long time.”

So, I’m sorry, but the majority of streamers are no more “in touch” with where WoW is headed than the average player.

First, I’m not talking bout my expectations as I didn’t do remix either past day three. Also my characters won’t benefit from the prepatch gear so I wasn’t concerned with that.

My point was the people saying “I knew 100% that TWW was releasing 8/22 all along,” are full of it too.

Nobody knew that it would release on 8/22. What they did know was that Remix would likely end either at launch or shortly before. That’s kind of what the roadmap was for.

So when the announcement was made they reasonably concluded that remix would end on that date or shortly before. Something that others are having a problem accepting.

I’d agree with that, and if I was scheduling that would have been my plan “better safe than sorry.”

I think I’m agreeing with you almost completely but wording myself poorly.

I could be doing the same.

I’d agree with what it feels like you are saying. If the goal was to learn a new class I wouldn’t have done it in Remix. I’d have just leveled it in retail where it’s not much slower and provides a more reasonably scaled end game as a playground to learn.
