I understand that when Pandaria: Remix was announced, we were told that we would not have our characters go to the main game until it ended. I think many of us were under the impression that the event would end quite a bit before The War Within was released.
The case: A lot of people have leveled their mains/alts for next expansion through remix and were hoping to get a bit of playtime before the expansion came out to prepare. If remix ends on August 19th and The War Within early release is on August 22nd, that essentially leaves two days to prepare for the expansion. I, for one, would love a little bit of time to get my alts settled before the expansion release.
Additionally (and I know this is a worst-case scenario), there could be unforeseen issues with our characters coming out of remix. I feel like two days while the team is prepping for an expansion launch, is not enough time to correct these issues, where people’s new mains may be impacted going into the expansion.
Is it possible that we could get an option to release our characters from remix early so that we can play them in a non-powered-up environment? I think this would be a huge win for the community. And understandably, these characters should not have extremely powerful gear; just throw some 440 ilvl stuff on them and let them free. We would be thankful!
I leveled a Blood Elf and Draenei, which I was hoping to earn heritage armors on prior to the expansion release. I would also like to somewhat learn the classes in an environment where i don’t oneshot everything
It’s really not that big of a deal, idk why you’d be against releasing remix characters early for people who are done with remix. It absolutely affects you in no way at all.
Yep, which is why suddenly saying “hey, your Timerunners will only have three to seven days before the new expansion” is such a sheet move. It almost feels like a mistake to level characters in Remix now, which is contrary to the power-leveling available in this mode.
No your not looking at it right, expansion releases at end of summer, when remix came out for 3 months that would tell you it would end right when expansion would come out
Idk, the expansion is in between summer and fall, so I assumed early September tbh, especially considering the official announcement for TWW said “Fall 2024”.
Euther way, I don’t think it would be harmful to let people opt their characters out of remix, as it would only provide positives to those that want to.
Im not incredibly pressed, I just hope that the game functions when they release remix characters. Incredibly bold move to do something like that for the first time a few days before an expansion release.
But its just a ball park, you know a month away or a month early donsent matter people should consider that remix would end right around the same time as expansion
I, on the other hand, would like to transfer retail characters over to Remix to finish leveling them up. I can’t stand Dragonflight, and leveling takes forever. Consequently, I have several characters at level 60 and absolutely no desire to level them in Dragonflight.
The consensus with the roadmap and now obviously wrong tea leaf reading was that prepatch would drop sometime in August with the expansion in or around September. I really don’t have a dog in the fight, but I can see why people are concerned.
