As someone who uses War Mode a hell of a lot, and PvPs on the regular …
Yes please.
I love the actual fighting, but the story behind it is like tissuepaper, you could have something like this without breaking the lore in half 'cos there’s nothing to break. :v
Also while I’m at it, the best moment in WarCraft history was the end of WC3 - y’know, when everyone got together to try and put a stop to the Legion. Soooo I really don’t get this ‘war in warcraft’ argument. Maybe if we’re trying to turn the game into WC1 or 2? I liked those, but the story hasn’t been just straight Orcs VS Humans in basically forever.
They’re saying they want faction peace, not “no killing literally anything” mode.
The whole faction war is so played out and is only being forced onward due to the very few people left who want this arbitrary forced 24/7 war between both factions
I wish the game would put more focus on new never before seen areas instead of more “GRR, HORDE SMASH ALLIANCE”
There’s all these things in the lore yet to be explored and people still want us anchored down with “Horde V Alliance” as the main running theme. It’s getting very tiresome
Aw, that’s cute, but nothing to do with my petition. Thanks for bumping!
EXACTLY. Thank you!
It’s been a long time you don’t visit Orgrimmar, it seems. I keep seeing players using toys to change their appearance to Humans, Night Elves and Gnomes. All those running rampant through Orgrimmar. Nobody seems to care.
As many above have undoubted told you, this isn’t World of Peacecraft.
Thus, the video essentially pointing you to what Butters was playing in the famously overwatched South Park episode, and why WOW might not be the game for you anymore.
You can be in Orgrimmar ANYtime… right now. Just roll a rogue.
Actually I wish they had it already.
not everyone North Korea hates everyone on the outside, even if their crackpot leaders may.
Many German citizens DIDNT WANT to be in a world war and many of them helped hide those who were the ‘enemy’ of the state.
Its just silly to assume that EVERY person in a country wants to kill someone who lives in a country their leaders are at war with.
IF this is supposed to be a REAL war, then lets treat it as such and accept that MOST people ARENT active soldiers and dont really want anything to do with the conflict.
And as Ive said about 50 times on this forum even in the WORLD wars MOST citizens were NOT fighters and didnt actively participate in the war in ANY capacity. They went about their daily routines and jobs.
Stop pretending that in any REAL wartime that every citizen is armed up and ready to kill the enemy. Thats as far fetched as it gets.
Exactly.
And this is a ROLE PLAYING GAME…not a strategy game that HAS to be about conflict.
Its absurd to claim that because its CALLED ‘World of WARcraft’ that it has to revolve around the conflict of the STRATEGY game it was spawned from.
No…that could have been the BEGINNING of the story, but it does not have to END there.
What…we cant grow up as individuals and realize that war is only destroying our world and our societies?
Because the original game was about a war and this game started on that premise that THAT is all we have and all we can ever be?
yeah…that sounds like a ton of fun to me.
BOOORING…
No. Not even close. There still a long way to go before normal mode is really a proper non-PvP mode and BFA has actually taken a couple of steps backwards because the war theme of the expansion has scattered PvP-flagged NPCs all over the place.
(it’s sort of why I get turned off the faction war in general- everything that gets done to support it ends up adding more PvP-flagging complications to the world)
Having city guards attack the opposite faction on sight seems forced. Most guards/police will leave people alone unless they’re doing something wrong or illegal. I know this is a fantasy game, but how do those Stormwind guards know if a Pandaren is Horde or Alliance if they’re just walking around minding their own business?
I support peacemode too, so i can hit on the troll ladies.
That and i’m really not feeling the faction divide, especially with BFA’s story, who would knew that MoP, a story about pandas, has more natural and genuine faction conflict then BFA. Much rather go out with the orcs, share a keg and talk about how we dislike humans, maybe …hang with the trolls, etc.
and it’s more options for the game, options that nobody is forced to make as some people make it out to be. If they suddenly put Peacemode in the game right now, you know you have the choice to not partake in it right?
I also support a free for all warmode, but that’s for another thread i suppose.
I know this is a stretch but in the Star Wars expanded universe (pre-Disney) they eventually had the Imperial Remnant make peace with the New Republic. There were new and different threats both factions had to deal with. Which turned out to be a far more interesting story imho than the rehash that is the new films.
I guess my point is that at some point the same formula gets a bit stale. There basically would be at least a ceasefire between the horde and the alliance now save for the crazy plans of (current crazy horde war leader) who was appointed by a wise and just war leader. It would add new blood to the game if we could group up with the horde. We did a billion quests for the Nightborne and Highmountain. I thought we were pals already. It just doesn’t seem that far fetched.
