Can we please have Peacemode?

So would this be a mode where players could not even choose to flag and kill npc’s, making it what would be the most popular mode for leveling?

I would love to see the rise of the Black Empire at the end of this expansion and it completely bones both Horde and Alliance, where there is neither of those two factions remaining.

In their wake of this loss, it now turns into how to best deal with the empire and instead of it being Horde and Alliance, its Faction A and Faction B, both in which want to defeat the Empire but both have different views on how to do it, so you end up picking whichever faction you feel fits your ideology/moral compass. Could be interesting idea.

Well, i would imagine Peacemode is supposed to be a social sort of thing, so i feel like they would nerf that exp down to 80-65%. shrugs

Do I get a bonus?

I am getting tired of being locked out of doing content with the other half of the player base just because they are on a different faction. Even without warmode on, they tag my mobs and I can’t interact with them outside emotes.

A peacemode obviously won’t happen this expansion, but I’m hoping the faction war ends in BFA and we can finally have some option of playing with the other faction. People who like the faction war can still have warmode.

I like this idea. Sort of final season GOT where one expects to see John and Jamie riding together against the White Walkers.

That and in this way we can have any race join either faction as its based purely off morality and mentality than undying allegiance to something or someone.

I dunno just my two cents. I think it would be neat.

As of the time of my posting 71 posters love the idea.

The best the smart alec responses can get is 11.

Outside of how hated this expansion is, that ratio alone shows how much the faction war and to a lesser extent wPvP is hated by the playerbase.

Blizzard, you are backing a losing horse

How would this even work when the game is called the World of Warcraft?

Perhaps Blizzard could do this, and add some new professions like:

  1. Tree Hugging

  2. Safe space development.

  3. Conflict resolution.

  4. Harassment prevention.

  5. Ethical duneoneering, & Raiding.

  6. Defeating mobs no life loss.

There’s other wars besides the faction war…

The faction war is like a Cold war, and sometimes it becomes hot.

Only on the forums and in the imagination of the bean-counters.

And sometimes your enemies become your friends. Walls get torn down and you face new threats. Just because we want to group together doesn’t mean we won’t fight those that threaten us. Plenty to do with an army of the dead looking to mind control our honored dead into new undead thralls. Not to mention the Old Gods with you know, the darkness and tentacles and evil fish. Imagine the Arnold and Carl Weathers bro shake from Predator as the Humans and Orcs team up to whoop the booty.

Alright baine, alright.

I don’t think splitting the playerbase into two and forbidding them from playing with each other is actually integral to the game. Animosity between the horde and alliance can continue even if the players can group up together, as the two sides have done since the very beginning of the game.

and you seem to be forgetting about the “craft” in Warcraft. Why can’t I just be a humble cobbler making high quality shoes at affordable prices? Why does the game make me kill so many things and not be all about making shoes?

Don’t worry OP, there will be peace… ONCE THE HORDE IS DESTROYED!!! evil laughter with lightning in the background

No because then it will turn out that Jania actually was a dread lord and the Alliance will need the help of the remainder of the horde. Then our new insane Warchief will betray you and start that faction war all over again. Though that is OK because we will then need to band together to overthrough our Warcheif.
