Can we please have hide helm back?

Look, I know we can go to the transmogrifier and hide our helms, but c’mon, it was so much better when we could hide or show our helms wherever we wanted, whenever we wanted. Heck, I’m not even into RP but I’d often hide my helm in town and show it again out in dungeons and raids and stuff.

I still have my ancient HatTrick addon. I just can’t bring myself to delete it. Always just kinda hoping we can get back to hiding our helms with a push of a button again.

They streamlined the transmog system because it really didn’t make a lot of sense to spread the concept across multiple systems.

Sad for some, but the tradeoff is increased flexibility in hiding gear since they’ve introduced a few more slots over time and soon we will be able to hide everything but pants.

All the Hide options should be UI toggles.

Want to reskin? Go to transmog.
Want to hide? Open character panel, click the next to the “put in bags” icon. Boom now hidden.

Still sad about that one. Why do pants get the short stick? PANTSMATTERTOO! Do we need to start a “no pants until hide pants” movement?

I can remove my helm whenever i want actaully, watch.

removes helm from head slot.

I strongly suspect it’s because the code has changed. You aren’t really hiding your helm, you’re actually transmogging an invisible one because the current code demands something in that slot, even if it cant be seen.

Most likely. Although the super epic programmers of awesomeness at blizz could probably figure out how to put the entire [invis transmog] on a toggle separate from the transmogger… RIP Ray D. Tear.

I don’t roleplay in WoW but I had a macro to hide/show helm. I still have it plinking around somewhere too.

I’d have it hidden until I knew I was about to be fighting a lot (so like dungeon/raid/pvp) where I would show it.

I too would like that to return.

And they could have mount equipment while leaving the water strider alone, but they prefer streamlining things into one system.

People should be happy there’s no herbalism mount equipment … yet

Why not just remove it by hand…?

C’mon, “but” isn’t always a bad word.

You have the option to hide it still. Just go to the transmog guy in Stormwind City (if Alliance; Orgrimmar, if Horde…)
