Several forum posts in the bug forums and different responses from different GMs to different players, I thought I’d make a post here to see if everyone get some clarity.
The weekly quest item, Whispering FelFlame Crystal, drops from the first Timewalking Dungeon last boss you kill for the week. We are now in week 3. The past 2 weeks all of my toons, except 1, received a Whispering FelFlame Crystal for the week. The one that did not was given one by a GM (on the 4th try from a senior GM)
Now on week 3, none of my characters so far have received Whispering FelFlame Crystal after killing the last boss of my first TW dungeon of the week. I put in a support ticket already. The characters are (will post and remove to CSMs can see)
Is the Whispering FelFlame Crystal supposed to drop every week of Legion timewalking? I know this is different because it’s going on for 4 weeks as opposed to 1.
I thought maybe you have daily meeting at work or sometime like my company where we go over the top challenges from the previous week/day.

The thing is there are no GMs here. Our SFAs, while pretty rad, are not guaranteed to pop into any and all threads.
I can personally tell you that my druid I’ve been lazily leveling has gotten the crystal each week of the Timewalking. Past her, I haven’t paid much attention to any of my others if they’ve gotten them or not.
If it’s a bug and the GMs you’ve gotten a response from have said it’s a bug? Then there isn’t an ETA that can be given unless they’ve figured out the hows and whys of why it’s happening and they have a fix ready to go out. Bugs, they work on to try and get them fixed as best they can and as fast as they can when they get the information they need to solve it.
So please, keep reporting it in the bug forum. You may not get a response there, but that’s the only place here on the forums that they collect that data. Only there and through the in-game bug reporting feature.

I know that’s why I said CSM in my post. I figured if they pop in and can get some clarity from the Blizzard team then great! if not, that’s fine but I wanted to throw it out there at least.

Were not allowed to callout for a blue post thats against the rules theres never a gaurentee these forums arent staffed around the clock.
The guideline you’re mentioning concerns thread titles, not post bodies. I encourage you to re-read the Welcome sticky. The OP is also very well-mannered.
OP, I can tell you I’ve received multiple weekly crystals on my toons, as recently as an hour ago on this toon. Is it possible you still have the item in your bags from last week?
It may be worth submitting a bug report if it’s determined you should’ve received another felflame.
Note that the blues here may be able to offer some additional clarity, but they generally do not pass on bug reports or act as liaisons with other teams.

Thanks and no I turned them in last week. I submitted a bug report last week when my rogue didn’t get the weekly item and GM determined I should have so I received it in the mail.
Some of the other bug reports, users have said they encountered the same thing but some say it dropped after 4-5 runs so it seems rather" buggy" I have more characters to run this week so we’ll see.
Just to touch on this, seeing as I haven’t seen anyone did - this would fall under “Game hints,” of shorts. A blue could say something, but they generally don’t say “X drops from Y” kind of thing.

If you’ve submitted a bug report, then it looks like you’ve pretty much done all you can do on your side.

From what I could find, you are intended to be able to receive the quest reward once per Timewalking event.
Since the Timewalking event has been extended for the Mage Tower the quest is available for longer than normal, but it doesn’t appear to be reset so that you can continue to receive the reward repeatedly.

This wording can go two ways. Does this mean you can or cannot continue to get the reward repeatedly?
I got the Felflame Crystal two weeks in a row on a bunch of toons. However, now, on the third week, I have run a few dungeons on a couple toons and did not get one.
Honestly, you would expect to get it every week if you get it two weeks in a row. It is weird it seems to have stopped on the third week, and frankly who wants to waste time on these runs if they are expecting what happened two weeks in a row?! Clarity and consistency from Blizzard would be a huge plus.
I’m not sure how much more clear Vrak could’ve been: Timewalking bonus week wasn’t meant to last multiple weeks. Because the length of the Legion timewalking event was artificially extended, the quest didn’t reset this last week like it normally would’ve.
They had to do a workaround to have Legion timewalking hang out for a longer period of time, overlapping with the next weekly event, but whatever they did didn’t fully reset quest completion Felflame Crystal this week. Why? Because computer programs are weird sometimes, and somewhere a switch in the code didn’t get flipped, or stay flipped.
I am nothing if not vocally cranky about many things in the game including the revival of the Mage Tower, but I find it a bit silly to get huffy about a janky workaround getting taped onto the servers with rubber bands and twine just to make the Mage Tower stay longer not working perfectly for all other aspects of the event. Any effect on the quest working or not working was incidental, the purpose of tweaking Legion timewalking back on was purely for the Mage Tower, and they were pretty clear about that.
