is there a mode where i can get at least get 500 plunder BEFORE you start going in on me? like seriusly you’re wasting my damn time with this crap. I’m in here for transmogs, i’m not in here to pvp someone 5 levels above me. I get that pvp is part of the game but not letting people at least get something done before you insta-kill them is only fun for you? You have the same amount of grinding I do, I just dont get this ridiculous mentality.
Also, is there a discord or a group finder where i can find like minded people? I did this once before when it first went on and i swear i can’t find it anymore. I dont want to get in here and not even get 2 seconds in and just immediately have to requeue.
They are not killing you because they want to, they’re killing you because you’re stealing their plunder and spells. If I drop in a good area I’m not letting 2k worth of plunder and epic spells leave right before my eyes.

If I get the spells you’re trying to take and the plunder you intended to take, I’ll make my grind faster.
its fine, it has grown on me now…i still tell people i’m not killing them (i have a macro) and htey leave me alone now… I just get to 1200 or 1500 and then let them kill me after that or jump into the storm. there is enough plunder to go around, so again…there’s zero harm in letting ppl at least get to level 5 before you go in on them.

Hah I did that 1 time, they did throw the first punch but still felt bad. Otherwise I do live and let live.
But if you read the map right(during the flight) you usually don’t come into contact with players at all.
Max view distance and complete zoom out usually helps to see players way before they can get to you too.
Unlucky exceptions not withstanding.
I’m not kidding anyone. You don’t have to believe me, but it’s 100% true. Other players will tell you the same thing.
You’re at a disadvantage ganking from level 1 and it’s actually harder to kill at lvl 1 against another lvl 1 than in higher levels with spells. It’s not an “easy gank” at all. The real reason people do it is because you’re letting plunder (read - xp, currency) and spells (ways to deal damage) go away. You don’t want that happening.
You can pretend how the world is out to get you and that’s the real reason it’s happening or whatever, but it’s not.
Ummm he mentioned the people killing him being higher level even early on.
Depending on where you land and how/where you go that is entirely possible and then that is a gank.
You’re right lvl1 on lvl1 but the Op does not strike me as someone that would try to land at the same spot as someone else at least not intentionally.

Fair enough, but in that case the OP is slow to collect stuff, and logic is the same. You’re taking my items, my xp, my plunder - except (and you’re right on this) you’re an easy kill this time. Little effort maximum reward.
OP would actually benefit from being more aggressive.
He’d probably just run away and let you have the stuff, also stuff respawns and you can’t pick up all anyways.
He certainly wouldn’t go for number 1 either and seems most people are ok with just moving past.
Look I’m not faulting anyone the Game mode is there for Ganking, but just call it what it is.
And I agree the best defense against a Gank is to overlevel the other player, but there we are at the mindset why some people don’t like the game mode.
Anyways he learned to basically do what I do and that usually works out pretty well.
I wouldn’t mind this, being PvP immune for X number of minutes, maybe until the first storm event, then everyone has that window to get their daily done. Once the first storm event thing happens, all bets are off.
I think it would also let others have a chance to get some abilities then it would give more a challenge.
Many dive bomb on rares and get abilities within the first mins, and then go after level 1s cause they are easy. If everyone had had time to get some power than I expect poeple wouldn’t be so quick to attack.
The problem with this is the game just becomes “Who landed somewhere with no competition” Grace periods don’t work because fights over territory are necessary when you’ve alsot a levelling system.
How are people level 1? I’m usually level 3 within the first 30 seconds. If you land somewhere and have to contest sure, but if you don’t?
So many people will chase immediately which makes running pointless because if you try to kill anything they just attack and now you’re fighting them and mobs. lol
I don’t get the mindset of chasing someone from the start and wasting your own time. Like I don’t even have any plunder to drop yet and I’m running so clearly I’m not competition for your area.
Watch how many people die to the storm as soon as it begins. Every match. TONS of people just want to do the quest and get out because it’s more efficient. The game mode could be more fun, but RNG harms yet one more aspect of the game. Someone lands on a purple chest and gets a top rank OP ability from the get go and just rips everyone apart vs getting a bunch of BS from everything isn’t fun.
I’ve stayed until the end a few times but it takes much longer and is barely more plunder. Not worth it for me personally.
The real issue isn’t THAT people want to just get plunder and get out, it’s WHY they want to. Improve the mode.
