I am trying to have the texts in english and the audio in french but at the restart, the game put the setting in full french or full english audio/text.
Do you know if there is a way to actually set the text in english while keeping the french voices?
On a side note, do you know if a GM is authorized to disrespect (if not insult) a player outside of the usual template message?
I can’t say more without being banned unless a moderator let me have the free speech on this matter.
No need to digress, i just wish to know if they can do it in their internal rules.
GM staff don’t generally aim to be disrespectful, but ultimately a player should give feedback to any ticket via the survey that is given once a ticket is closed. These are reviewed by supervisors, and help with training.
I’m not sure what options are for languages, but those can be set in the app launcher.
This actually came up in a post back a few months ago.
At this time, you cannot do that. You can, of course, make the suggestion to the Devs for them to take into consideration. But you would need to do that either in General Discussion or perhaps the UI forum? That’d be the closest thing I could think of with all of the forums available. Either that, or send the suggestion in through the in-game suggestion and feedback interface.
As for
I’ve yet to see any case of intentional disrespect or insulting - even when the player themself has been downright nasty. Most of the time it’s nothing more than misunderstanding how a word was used or just thinking they’re being insulted when that is the furthest thing from the case. If you feel like yours is a case for it, please do make use of the survey you receive when a ticket is closed out. That is the absolute best way to get your thoughts to the staff that oversees the GMs and all of that.
Thank you for the reply, too bad that we can’t seperate language in text and voicing.
I’ll make a suggestion.
I no longer can suffer how the french translation team is pushing their personnals ideologies with the translation, mostly through texts and few times the voices.
Hopefully i have no problem to understand the english language.
I can’t tell the whole story because of the forum rules (unless being given the authorization) but it does happen to me 3 month ago with a EU forum moderator.
Let’s say that when asking for an apology few days ago on the EU forum, i got a perma ban for breaking a rule.
So…if they can get away with this, i thought that maybe they are authorized to act this way.
It sounds like it went beyond that, and I didn’t want to bring up past post, but you were advised this wasn’t acceptable feedback. Sorry.
You mentioned tickets. Forum posts are not tickets, moderators are not GMs, and can not speak for the developers or make the game change you seem to require.
If you have an issue with specific translations, file an in-game bug report. Give the specific comment, the current translation, and what you feel is a better translation. If it’s a quest, specify the quest name. Don’t mention agendas. That is not constructive.
I will close with the advice you were offered about a year and a half ago.
You are of course welcome to discuss the game and provide your feedback, however this forum is not the appropriate place to debate ideologies, or to attack certain minorities (and this is generally where these topics go off the rails) .
If this topic were to go off the rails again, like the previous ones, it will be closed, and the speakers who made comments outside the charter will be sanctioned.
As i said no need to disgress, i asked questions and got my answers:
We can’t separate audio and text language (i will send a suggestion for this).
GM are not allowed to disrespect customers.
I would have told you the whole story if i could but as it’s related to a previous ban, i can’t.
Let’s say that you are lucky to have GM allowing to discuss some subjects without erasing posts.
The French ones have double standards when we were discussing Blizzard’s way to do inclusivity.
Now subject closed, there’s no need to go further.
