sadly I use AH when I get no good gear in questing/mob kills. make 200, spend 200 there. what pile of gold, small as it is, exists for wrath. Pretty sure I will be greening that too.
A few thousand to buy the basics would be nice.

Who is going to grind gold in classic to trade for game time when you can do that on retail servers?
Wow tokens will have a supply problem, not a demand problem, meaning the gold you get from it will be really low.
I mean at the way the game is at this point we are playing retail without the conveniences and we know people buy gold on mass so quite frankly I don’t see the reason why they shouldn’t.
you’re not even level 70…why are you buying greens off the AH?
Adding tokens to classic is just replacing one card swipe for another. Classic was never designed to have people buying gold in any form which is why consumes are far more powerful and expensive than in retail. Future expansions had to be designed to accommodate tokens (and look how they all turned out).
Gold buying has been nothing but a problem for TBCC and giving people a ban-free way of doing it isn’t going to improve the game. Gold buying causes gold inflation and tokens would drive prices up even higher - punishing those people who still play the game properly. If you want retail game design ideas like tokens, play retail.

Ironically the WoW Token is available in China.
China also pays per min of game time used.
As such it’s more justifiable there where farming gold literally has a cost as your “wasting” game time vs here where you get a month and have the month even if you don’t use. It’s a completely different sales model.
Gotta wait for WoD classic.

Token in retail is like 3x the cost of illegal gold. Just not worth it at all.
No lfg love so no dungeon blues.
sometimes off quest rewards are not really good.
My best gear atm literally is the 4 leather piece set from LW. handmade with pride. the set bonus seems decent. and the ring and trinket from honor hold vendors. those are nice.
and its preferred to catch up on dps as I can get jumped. I like to pretend when jumped by a say 70 I can give as good as I get. Sometimes you see a 70 not full pvp gear. not often…but sometimes.
this char also feeds a 40 alt. Same reasons above. She gets a 50/50 chance of seeing an opponent not massively over leveled over her. she too has crap lfg luck.
You don’t need that to level…there is zero reason to waste your gold on gear on the AH.
No amount of purchased green gear is going to give you the edge from a level 70, just get to 70.
I think the black market retail to classic is 1,000,000 to 1,000 right now.
Dunno how this would work out. What would they need to be worth to lure people in? 2k? 5K?
If adding tbe token got them to hire actually game devs im down lol.

You know I always find it really funny when people say that because you at because you do realize we’re playing retail right because what makes an MMO certain way like it or not is the player base we are plain retail without the conveniences.
So when you say go back to retail I would say bro we’re already there just no one wants to admit it which I find very hilarious.
