Can we get more LGBT couples in game?

Why threads like this are still up? who gives a F if NPCs are gay, black, white or yellow?

I mean, everyone;s doing LGBT pairings. Letā€™s do something else.

Imagine the development this would take. First Rommath seeing the Void Elf and getting attracted to her. Across the expansion, they get along better and better, despite hating each other at first.

Until they canā€™t deny it anymore and sneak to be together. You found them and even do one or two quests to aid them.

And thatā€™s it. Better than Mathias and the other one pairing. Better than the Night Warrior couple, better than Anduin and Taelia. Thereā€™s no controversial or challenge in these ones.

noā€¦its called having issues. seriously, ive never been all that concerned with whos doin who in a cartoony world like wow lol. the only reason for a relationship to exist at all is to know whos offspring character a.b.or c is and why they may have an issue or why they are so strong/weak

Why? Unless something serves a story purpose, adding it would be a waste of resources.

Lol imagine thinking we gonna lose a raid tier if Flynn smooches his boyfriend

this is disgusting

Imagine thinking your desire for unnecessary virtue signalling wont detract from the already piss poor effort the story team puts into this.

I trust Ion will make it happen. I mean, Void Elves are beautiful!

Blah blah blah heard the ā€œmuh virtue signalingā€ nonsense enough times. Itā€™s meaningless.

As is your entire argument, lol. If everyone says something like that to you, maybe you should, you know, think about it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Okay I thought about it. I donā€™t care about blizzā€™s reputation. Iā€™m just bored as hell and rather glad Pelagos and the Night Warrior exist now. And Fairshaw being Canon.

Now that you mention it, Iā€™m not sure Blizzard cares about their reputation either lol

Like for real. Iā€™m not here talking about gay stuff to better blizzā€™s reputation. Iā€™m just bored

Iā€™ve always found the shipping desires masked as ā€œrepresentationā€ always annoyed me. People always want big-name characters to be the faces of LGBT. But rather than a new character who fits into the world and can be related to in more facets than who they like, or donā€™t like to sleep with.

Foot in door approach for these matters. Donā€™t jump through the window and expect to be welcomed.

leave Anduin out of this nonsense.

The issue is blizz has been quite gentle with their introductions to this stuff and non lgbt still freak the heck out

After awhile one just gets fed up with making sure theyā€™re comfortable

I donā€™t suddenly exist just because theyā€™re ā€œcomfortableā€

First thing first, enough with the ā€œexistā€ nonsense. Everyone is well aware LGBT people exist in their day to day life. You and I came to our own realizations of our attractions and have wildly different notions and values of care on how weā€™re seen in the public eye. Iā€™m speaking from experience that being loud isnā€™t always the best approach.

Normally; in Mediaā€™s ā€œrepresentationā€ is that an LGBT character is emphasized on their difference of attraction. Shadowlands has a new Gay couple and the first thing we learn about these two,ā€¦ is that theyā€™re gay. It immediately paints them with a broad stroke and perception of their actions henceforth; given the huge amount of nay-saying.

In the past of WoW, LGBT representation was vastly more subtle, and minor. It wasnā€™t overly represented. IF you didnā€™t pay attention, it was easy to miss. Like most people in day to day life.

This character openly flirted with another sentinel, even if her advances are turned down. Its one of the first examples of same-sex attraction. It isnā€™t the first interaction of her, nor even her focus. But it is noticed if you stick around her rng dialogue.

Generic NPCs with no interaction but share the same name, and make flirtacious gestures implying their sexuality. Its even implied they are likely married. But most players will not jump down their throats as its present, but only noticed by those who pay attention.

Iā€™m well aware of the weaker representation. Iā€™m of the belief of ā€œif you canā€™t tell without looking at it thru a microscope, it ainā€™t representationā€

Also compare those weak npcs with ā€œYOU HAVE DESTROYED DEATHWING BUT SOMEHOW AGGRA BEING PREGNANT IS MORE IMPORTANTā€

Iā€™m just sick of waiting til people are ā€œcomfortableā€. Iā€™m not here to make yaā€™ll comfortable
