Can we get more LGBT couples in game?

No thanks. No balance, no need for soap opera in WoW. Remove the straight couples, this isn’t Love Connection the video game.

I’m on team #getridofMalfurionandTyrande … it’s all super cringe and none of it fits in WoW.

I’d love to see more LGBTQ characters as a whole, but we don’t necessarily have to put them in “couples”. Just have them be rockstars by themselves like so many other amazing NPCs.

Am I the only one that falls asleep during RomComs?

Thrall and Aggra annoyed me in Cata (I think it was in Vashj’ir?)
Malfurion and Tyrande in Val’Sharah neared their level (Yes, I know part of the time was Xavius, the voice was still grating on the ears)

I’m not here for a cheesy love story. I have the Hallmark Channel for that.

LGBT make up ~4% in America so there should be that % in WoW. So overall that’s not even 1 LGBT couple since there is only 1 or 2 couples in the entire game.

oh yeah, forgot about that … totally agree that was annoying too. Love stories just don’t belong in WoW.

Agreed with this. Stop FORCING this kind of thing to happen.

No! There is no need for it except to satisfy people that feel the need for their sexuality to be front and center. I play games and could care less about their sexuality!

no, and get out of here with your woke BS. stop forcing things.

But what could that bring to the game?. Sexuality isn’t really a strong drive storywise in WoW universe outside of already established characters and it’s rare to see new couples being added.

I highly doubt people identify with characters based on their sexuality. How powerful, cool or if their armor/weapon is awesome is what drives people to like characters in this game.

Like they could add LGBTQ characters, but at the same time they doesn’t need to because they usually never discuss sexuality in wow. Overwatch is the kind of plataform where they can work with LGBTQ characters since that game relies heavily in the conections and relationships each character has to keep a huge part of the community looking at the game.

Man, this Aviela thread sure got a lot of bites and it just keeps going.

I see what you’re saying, and hear you, but representation shouldn’t be met with the “But how will this benefit the story?” claim. It’s important that it happens for visibility. We don’t ask if straight characters benefit the story, so we shouldn’t be asking of other diverse characters benefit it either.

It’s what the people want apparently, to argue over nothing. I’m guilty of it myself, but at least I recognize it.

We should already be playing SL (but for x or y reasons it got delayed) and Cyberpunk got delayed again. At least I have this.

We don’t need representation for the sake of representation. I don’t care if they’re straight, gay, bi, or insert 140 other affiliations here. Let the game be what it is, with out fantasizing about cartoon characters getting it on with each other.

Honestly Jaina strikes me as someone who could be a late in life bi. She had these relationships with these larger than life people like Kalec and Arthas. If she were bi she’d likely end up with someone with a simple life like an Enchanting trainer.

I don’t see Jaina being with anyone witj a Adventurer’s life and could even see her making a strong choice to stay single and happy with herself.

Anduin is clearly bi. And I suspect he has had several under the radar relationships with possibly both genders. As the King’s som and now King I don’t see him having a public relationship of any type until he’s decided how he will pick his heir.

As a King he wouldn’t make any relationship public until that time. Unless he did something dramatic and decided he would be the last King or that it would be a constitutional monarchy leaving more flexibility for heirs to the throne.

Of both of them I wouldn’t expect them to have anything public that would be visible to people outside their close inner circle.

And Talia is pretty angry with him right now and he’ll never forgive Wrathion.

And I think they’ll both be pretty f ed up by their captivity by the Jailer.

Shaw is definitely a power bottom.
