because it’s literally not about you. It has no affect on you, in anyway, whatsoever. You can easily just move on with your life and the LGBT characters aren’t gonna haunt you or something.

Please, there is anti-LGBT sentiment in every single one of these thread. You’re no brave hero for “admitting” it. These threads are made by people trolling in the first place, to get you to freak out about it.
Gay people exist whether you approve of us or not.
We’re taking our piece of the pie, you can keep yours or drop it on the floor in your panic. It affects me none.
So the the only option then is a “take what we can get” attitude and, imo, that’s more damaging to any call for representation than anything else.
I’m a literary snob, I can fully admit that. But-and again-this me speaking for myself and as someone with LGBT friends, I feel any instance of representation-particularly when it is the inaugural instance, should be treated with respect and care so as not to give anyone a “hostile in” which they can then use as an excuse against future instances of representation.
If expecting a heretofore unexplored relationship in game to be developed with respect and care lest it becomes an excuse down the road for trolls to exploit makes me a honophobe, then so be it.
You may call me homophobe all you wish. But I’ll still expect any instance of representation to be treated with care and respect.
And with that, I’m done.
The thing is, if people are going to use something as simple as that as some kind of excuse not to include LGBT people, then really they wont care how well written it is, they’re clearly looking for any excuse in the world.
And no one is expecting some great LGBT literary masterpiece to come out of the WoW story, let’s be honest every single thing in WoW’s story is derivative to start with.
The problem is the lgbt organizations are some of the most intolerant, hateful groups around. They demand 2% of the population is represented by 25%-35% in all tv and movies and now setting their sights on video games.
Nobody cares when there is a gay scene its the nonstop bullying from the lgbt groups threatening to cancel anyone who doesn’t bow down to their 25-35% demand.

GLADD was the first calling for 20% but they have upped that.
Netflix exceeds this in almost every new show they produce. Go watch high score somehow Neflix decided 6 out of 8 episodes about the history of video games required an lgbt person.
Again having lgbt represented isnt the issue its the intolerance groups like GLADD show to those who don’t think lgbt needs to be over represented in ever single tv, movie or video game.
