I think that would be fun.
My priest has a mostly unused speed run smite/heart & sould/pi spec I put together before they created the alpha/beta/gamma system that it would be fun to bust out again.
I do occasionally tank a heroic just for the lulz, but other than gems I don’t really have any use for Triumph emblems anymore so I don’t do it often.
I didn’t say it was dead… I said it might become dead if everyone got their max gear In a few weeks due to a catch up mechanic and you already stopped playing? Sooo it is dead by what your saying?
Im confirming its already dead. It needs to be faster to get people to gear up alts or allow returners to actually catch up

Oh I see well maybe because wotlk was fun back in the day and something new came out, imo blizz messed up the player base by introducing SoD it might be fun but then I’d just wait till a catch up mechanic came out to play.
Yes, and Shadowmourne is replaced by a level 78 blue.
Is your point that people shouldn’t be bothered doing anything right now cause “it’s all replaced in Cata anyway”?
Cause if it is, that’s an incredible stupid point. There’s literally no point playing classic at all with that mindset until it catches up to retail.
Well if cata came out next year then sure. But its so close to cata now I don’t think it’s worth it…
Don’t play then.
No one gets max gear from emblems anyway, you use emblems to get max gear by getting into raids.
Your concern is entirely unfounded and incredible uneducated.
I have 500 frost emblems sitting on 2 characters who have their 4 set and other frost emblem items I wanted, what on earth does it matter if someone gets a few more frost emblems?
I just thought that the people who played since the beginning would be annoyed because they already spent so much time just for a new mechanic to come out and pretty much make there already wasted time more wasted.
It’s so incredible weird to be opposed to slightly easier catching up on the basis that… you missed the train to catch up.
You didn’t, you just didn’t want to go the full mile. You could’ve easily made it into raiding levels gear by now if you’d played for virtually any amount of time in phase 4.

Apparently not tho everyone says they can’t get into older content to reach the new content…
The reason the old content isn’t run anymore is cause Blizzard removed the need to.
I’m not personally a fan of removing the need to run ToC and stuff but you don’t need to set foot in there to get the normal mode items you need.

Back in the day, once RDF came out, you didn’t need to go into TOC again either to get a full set of 232 gear and some 245 off sets. It’s essentially the same in that regard. Access to the 25man gear from vendors is just icing on the cake.
The gear treadmill gets old, the catch ups were on point this time around.

For me I loved doing all the content to progress playing all healers and some could do it under geared and that made it more challenging and fun for me.
It’s not that close. We don’t have a firm date yet that I know of but probably something along the lines of pre-patch in May and release in June based on the roadmap.

Yeah, except trinkets and weapons from TotC were still the best you could get pre-ICC outside of battered hilt, and some trinkets remained best in slot throughout.
So there was a genuine reason to still do ToC during ICC, there really isn’t now.

Take it up with Blizzard for adding the TotC gear to 5 mans.

I just think classic should be classic and not retail like making it easier to get everything.
Jousting was a nice niche when it came out.
Not talking about the 5 man here, the raid.
I see is the 5 man still needed for some trinkets? I remember that atk power banner was bis for feral for a while
