Screw Tinkers. These are the only mechs that I want to see playable:
Straight up Protoss vibes.
I keep killing dragoons in HFC and they’re not robots.
There’s my old favourite unit from StarCraft. Same idea as as the Draenei Vigilants, really. I just really prefer the non-humanoid design.
I’m very familiar with the historical context.
But you want Blizzard to copy robots from some other game you play.
From another Blizzard property. And they already did copy it.
Have a Kleenex Fenix, Artanis is sending you to a new front…this time with mud huts and elves
I mean if the Horde can overcome the Lightforged Draenei’s magic*space technology with their pointy sticks and body odor, the Protoss isn’t out of the question either.
I’m not saying it isn’t profoundly stupid and does to the idea of disbelief what Vladmir Putin wants to do to Crimea, but it is a thing.
(That’s my main Job over there. )
Personally, though, if we go with a draconic class, I’d rather see a class that is allied with dragons rather than one focusing on killing them as FF’s dragoons are.
Floor tanks
What goes up, must come down.
Rude!
“My Life for Aiur!”
I love these guys, they look great!
But in the Future Keldar, you may want to specify in the Title you mean Dragoons from StarCraft, and not some… other game…
Bruce Campbell would approve this.
Napoleon would not.
IYKYK
The slight is against Tinkers, not you.
But honestly, I’d take either. If we’re going to get a mechanical class… I’d rather be striding around in one of these dragoon-inspired mystical mechs than Bumble Wizzlefart’s most recent wacky robomotron.
If anybody is curious, dragoon is what the English called their horseback cavalry a few hundred years ago.
I always Imagined something a little closer to a Traditional Shredder from WC3, That way it doesn’t have to be the size of a Mount like Gelbin or Gallywix, and is therefore less intrusive to Warcraft’s artstyle.
However
I’m a Huuuuuuuge fanboy for Protoss…
If I recall, the “mounted infantry” concept started in Italy and was quickly adopted by other European nations. I even had family in one of the Canadian regiments!
That’s also what I imagined and was therefore why I didn’t want the class implemented at this stage. Not that I object to the class, conceptually, but I object to the environment that would exist that would necessitate its implementation.
But if we get full-fledged Protoss with it? That, I’ll buy that not everyone in Azeroth would be able to understand or operate.
