Honestly never played blood elves till this option was added… it honestly makes sense cause their skin and hair is supposed to reflect their affinity to the sun and fire ;darker skin fits that lore a lot more
Blood Elves in TBC haven’t had the well attuned to light yet.
They’ve lived in quelthalas for long enough they don’t look like night elves.
That’s because living in quel’thalas for so long is what made them look different from night elves
Correct, they look like High Elves with green eyes and pale skin from the Fel corruption.
TBC was before the woke times.
Yeah and the way they look obsessed with fire and living in eternal sunlight makes more sense they’d have darker skin.
Maybe if they were mom’s basement elves or cave elves they would look as pale as they do.
Actually, they kept their land in perpetual autumn. This would cause the sunlight to have indirect rays needed for more heavily pigmented skin.
Also an obsession with fire has nothing to do with skin coloration. They’re obsessed with Blood Magic by the way, not fire.
As per the lore, Night elves are the ones with dark skin tones. The high elves specifically evolved to have fair skin due to the Sunwell’s influence
You’re trying to apply real world logic to a magical force in a fantasy world
Go read your TBC user manual and read the description of blood elves.
" their skin and hair reflects their affinity for fire and the sun"
Also night elf skin tones are just reminiscent of troll fur colors.
You’re literally just making stuff up now lmao.
This has been my main issue with all of the posts like this one. The topics themselves are up for discussion irl. That’s fine. Don’t even care which conclusions one ascribes to. Just don’t expect fantasy worlds to adhere to some real world ideology or set of rules. Something that nearly everyone did until recently.
Okay, gonna stop there before I keep ranting. Cheers.
I’d be cool with optional added character customization. I really like the night elf and troll options
Also black blood elves are cool
I have
You’re the one that hasn’t been keeping up with the lore
Let me clarify I have no issue with the customization options in retail, and personally, I wouldn’t give a damn one way or the other if they were added to TBC. I’m just stating what the lore says, and have you seen the conniptions people have around here toward anything that comes from Retail?
Do not cite the Deep Magic to me , Witch! I was there when it was written.
Okay then read this back to me https://m.imgur.com/gallery/Jku4uit
Looks like text for ants on mobile
It’s just from your manual lmao… TBC lore back then it was supposed to reflect sun and fire… so either they should be red or just darker skin color like they are on retail
Bright hair and skin doesn’t make you think of sun and fire? Again, your approach is too logical for a concept of magic and fantasy
sun=light
light=/=dark
