it would be nice if retail skin colors, hairstyles and haircolors were available to tbc character models without changing the bodies/faces/animations of tbc character models

Actually they are right tho, it’s the lore of the game.
But hey now days the game lore is meaningless any way; make them chartreuse with neon pink polka dots.
darker skin makes me think of sun, yeah a hell of a lot more than my pale staying inside self

that’s the logical part of your brain going “someone associated with the sun should have a tan”
the fantastical part should see fair skin and flaming red/gold hair and think “wow they’re glowing”

Exactly. It’s because they are! Blood elves don’t get darker. They soak up that light and glow. There’s a distinct difference in the tanned human skin tone and the glowy skin of blood elves.

Now you’re comparing 2 different races. Blood elves literally glow with sunlight. And the dwarves are under ground. By your logic they should be nearly translucent.

Retail races and lore do not exist right now and thus are irrelevant and do not apply.

Correct but even that one still has a glow to it even if it’s more subdued than the rest.
