it’s not another point of failure for my reasoning.
it is basically a glitch that sometimes the hidden messages don’t show up.
this poster said that it worked most of the time.
again:
I’d rather deal with the real problems.
Person A likes bothering people
Person B doesn’t want to listen to A’s noise, puts A on ignore.
Person A switches characters and gets around person B’s ignore
Repeat infinitely.
And that’s something we’ve actually seen happening and which is a flaw in the forums.

Nope. let’s just fix the problem you’re exploiting and ignore made up scenarios that annoying people make up to try and protect your ability to bypass ignores.

yes, adding account wide ignore does create more problems…
account wide ignore is also not necessary because the forums function perfectly fine as is.

Spamming or Trolling
This category includes:

i asked if you wanted to tell me specifically if any of those steps are incorrect - and if they are incorrect, if you could please explain to me why they are incorrect.

Reason why they are incorrect, because we don’t know how Account Wide ignores would be implemented, if they do get implemented.
Plus, Harassment isn’t tollerated. Blizzard is quick on all forms of harassment.

His entire stated objection is that you can find someone’s alts if they post on them while under your account-wide ignore.
I find the counterpoint of “who cares?” to be more than sufficient rebuttal here.
