He can keep trolling however long he wants to. It doesn’t really matter who he is or isn’t, he’ll act the same way and get reported/ignored as he would normally :smiley:

i put someone on ignore and i see a “hidden reply - click to expand”

i choose to not expand it because i don’t want to see it and that works perfectly for me.

Yeah, he is just a waste of time replying back to. I’ve already got him on the ignore, just going to not view hidden messages. If he does it again to switch, then the little blue flag will be the next thing hit on him.

  1. account wide ignore would be fine as long it’s done in similar ways to in game where you don’t know the person btag. There’s no addons that function in a way to let people know all of your alts by using ignore in game currently.
  2. I can see why people are hesitant because of the prior existence of cogshanks for forums, but Blizzard just needs to ensure something like that doesn’t happen again. As it is now there’s websites that can check peoples chars via collections/achievs anyways and there’s no forum addon to list all of players ‘found’ alts.
  3. There are far too many people in this thread that are insulting people that disagree with them that account wide ignore is needed, people have their reasons. Stop assuming the worst, there have been quite a few instances of harassment in WoW that has extended to tons of peoples alts being stalked.
  4. Just because someone disagrees with you, doesn’t mean they’re a troll. But if you think they’re a troll, why respond to them and derail the thread endlessly. MichaelJordanStopIt.gif

Currently? Not on forums, nope. You can bypass it as much as you like since it’s not account wide and it’s not a two way block. The ‘ongoing harassment’ rules don’t seem to apply to the forums. It should be, though.

I just want to correct you on this one, it isn’t against the alt to bypass the ignore if replying to a thread, but it is against to bypass a person ignore to directly reply or troll a person/group of persons.
