Like when you ignore someone it should just be their account, can’t say I’ve ever seen someone be like “Man, I really want to ignore this guys hunter but not the person”

Shouldn’t be a Battle to get rid of stalkers/harasses, and feel free to Tag your friends you like the idea

ok, here is my answer:

the account wide ignore feature would facilitate and encourage people to find other people’s alts.

as i explained earlier:

• Person A ignores person B (and only person B, no other ignores)
• Person A then looks through the forums to see any hidden messages.
• Person A finds a hidden message, opens it and it shows a character that is not the character that person A ignored.
• This new character is ignored because of account wide ignores and is on the account of person B.
• Person A just found an alt of person B

account wide ignore system is not helpful here… the current ignore system works perfectly

If I was to place someone on ignore, why would I care about there alts. Considering you keep switching alts all the time.

you swap to a character you dont post on that has a clean ignore list…ignore the person in question.
I tried it last night.
His concern has merit

It is against the Forum Code of Conduct to use alts to bypass people’s ignores on purpose to continue replying to the person.

It is called harassment.

I don’t care if you use alts on the forums or not, but frankly I miss the days of Cogshanks when I could tell how many people posting were actually the same person trying to get around detection.

Should be a rule that you have to choose a character and commit, I say.
