When people have actual discussions, its not pointless. When people make huge accusations, then never want to give more detail. Like you. Then yes, it becomes pointless.

How does any argument accelerate or decrease any changes coming to the forum?
They just stated they are returning the size to the DF meta achieve mount, which was largely due to feedback.

Thats a gameplay feature.
Very different from what someone could view as crippling the forum, that arguably already does what Blizzard wants.
I agree that letting people easily bypass ignore, troll, harass, and stalk others is crippling to the forum community. But I dont feel Blizzard wants that to happen.
They use btags on other forums. What the hold up here is probably the forum software tying in character names. The other forums dont have specific character tie ins that I am aware of. So there is nothing else for one to post on.
People in WoW often like their characters. And wanting to keep that functionality while still tying into bnet is my best guess as to the delay.
Actively giving feedback that this issue would make the forums, over all, a better place can give incentive to push this subject. Can people negatively use it? Sure. But you must weigh that against not doing anything at all. Right now, the pros far outweigh the cons for eventually implementing it.

Why should anyone show you anything?
You’ve seen them plenty of times before and like to pretend they don’t count because they didn’t happen immediately when there’s an expansion feature that will probably interact with that function on the near horizon.
