Just because something may seem possible, does not mean it is. Since communication is used in all sorts of way in game, lose any right to communicate with anyone, and you’ll be having a tough time in game.

it is an undisputed fact that it is possible to find the alts of someone you ignore on the forums with account wide ignore.

• Person A puts person B on ignore.
• Person A is now ignoring every character on person B’s account.
• All messages from any characters of Person B will show up as “hidden” messages to Person A (since person B’s entire account of characters is ignored by person A).
• Person A just needs to sift through the forums to find every hidden message and any hidden message will be characters on the account of Person B.
• Person A now knows all the alts of person B

it is also an undisputed fact that this is possible if someone finds a person’s alts.

• see the player’s alt in a guild and harrass the guild leader until the player gets kicked from guild.
• see the player is in a group for a raid, join the raid and then get the leader to kick the player.
• spam the player’s trade chat with bad things about them so the server thinks the player has a bad rep.

Just because something may seem possible, does not mean it is.

It’s nonsensical what they’re proposing, because:

1. No one cares
2. Trying it is going to get them banned for harassment by like the entire server not wanting to hear the bs drama
3. If this were a thing, people would literally be doing it right now, because we’re posting on our characters and most have rIO and Check PvP and other sites enabled.

The whole thing is IQ dropping and I don’t know why anyone keeps entertaining their nonsense.

It’s quite another to control what someone else can see on Blizzard’s forums

No one is actually asking to prevent what others see . Now some of us may be asking to make it so the person ignoring and the person being ignored don’t see from eachother . But no one is asking they not be able to see things from people that they have not ignored or been ignored by.
