I don’t want the people who feel the need to ignore/block others to MAKE the person being ignored feel it. Their content just wont be visible to the person who is ignored. The person wanting to shut them out gets what they want and the person being shut out isn’t hurt in the process. I think that’s a pretty clean solution.

Respect is not about always treating people as though they’re always equal in their moral or ethical standing.
Respect is a spectrum. You start giving a person general respect and then you adjust it from there. People are not owed anything more than what their actions earn them.

Also, while I subscribe to the idea that you treat everyone with respect initially, people’s actions can lose them that respect.

I don’t remember asking you, I mean sure you are entitled to think that or whatever but you are wrong and you know you are wrong but you have been trolling this thread for the last couple of hours so that could very well be why you think it won’t solve forum issues is because people like me could slap you on account wide ignore then you couldn’t just jump to another character to bypass my ignore and start all over again with the trolling.

That’s what we got now,but when we do so,there are those with multiple toons that by pass it to troll the individual.is there a reasonable solution? I say a timer for accounts .
I’m saying that I can only get behind this concept if it works both ways. If someone posts something that they are actively seeking responses on and then (say they have me on ignore)–my contribution to the conversation isn’t even going to be viewed by them…then I’d rather just not see it to begin with. There should be a consequence for doing this that isn’t only just favorable to one person.
I would love to ignore Tal so when they inevitably comes back 3 months from now I won’t see them

yeah, that is all that i would like to see, that people understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion
Maybe look at the “opinions” and “behaviour” of those who your supporting before making this sort of comment.

Nothing, they have been and are trying to derail the thread with that type of junk, it’s best not to bite in unless people want this thread to be hidden or deleted which as someone that strongly supports account wide system that includes ignores, likes, posts, flags, etc. I’d prefer it stay up.

I’m going to be honest. I strongly doubt this. People brought up in the church do not just sit there and misinterpret these words. You’re spewing this “golden rule” version the way the media throws it around in poorly written tv shows.
When I first saw you you had cursory respect. The kind one gives to a person they’ve no knowledge of. What they are owed.
Now I see you pissing on an actually important moral teaching of a religion to use it as a battering ram against those you disagree with. I find it difficult to give you further respect when I see you play about with something that actually matters, and that people actually live by and learn by, as though its nothing more than a bullet point in your character sheet.

That is true. But they aren’t entitled to have anyone else have to listen to that opinion if they don’t want to.
That’s a big no. There’s lots of things labeled “opinion” that don’t deserve respect as they do not give respect.

You can unblock it to see then block them again. sometime people say thing that are ,just argumentive .Like a military sergeant it does get under a person skin I turn it off to by pass that as a defense from harmful intent. Sometime a timer should cool tempers as well.
Guess it is time to bring out the blue flags.
Someone is doubling down on the religion to try to shut this thread. Again.
