Can we get account wide ignore?

Bingo. That’s exactly what he is trying to do.
If they can’t argue against the subject… they attempt to derail and get the thread locked.
Just flag and ignore.

This because the WoW forums needs account wide ignores, likes, flags, posts, etc. for every person that uses the forums including myself for a much better and much healthier forum for us all.

:white_check_mark: yes to account wide ignores
:white_check_mark: yes to account wide flags
:white_check_mark: yes to account wide likes
:white_check_mark: yes to account wide total post count
:white_check_mark: yes to account wide trust levels
:white_check_mark: yes to being 1 person with 1 account, not 1 person with unlimited accounts

And I’m off for a while.

Well in a way doesn’t the ability to have account wide ignores remove toxicity?

I mean everyone has a right to remove toxicity from their personal purview.

I think anyone against a person’s ability to do such is saying that no one should be able to remove toxicity is saying they should have the ability to force their toxic behavior on everyone.

In a way yes, but Ard was arguing that we’re trying to say an ignore function is needed to get rid of it on the forums as a whole, as opposed to just curating your own experience

I’m calling male bovine excrement

Well if currating it based on our own experiences as a whole removes it , it doesn’t remove their ability to be toxic. Hey as long as they follow the CoCs of the forums they are entitled by Blizz to say what they want. What they or anyone else is not entitled to is an audience.

Man just think, if account wide ignores were a thing my list would go from 47 to 4

What a strange thing it would be

When you break it down from 47 to 4 it would probably look like this .

20 of them are probably Khrog/Doobly
20 of them are Lilithia
7 devided between the remaing 2

Wouldn’t surprise me if that 47 was actually only just 1.

Just give the people account-wide ignore since they seem to think they’ll be better off with it.
But I’d like it work another way – if they put me on ignore/block–then I never want to see what they post either…period. That is the only way that I think this system would work and still be more realistic. If you want to shut off other people; then they TOO should not see what you say and they shouldn’t have to ignore you (do the same thing you’re doing) to accomplish it.

I wish they’d do this with dating websites too. If I want to fliter about people the I also dont want to show up on their results page either–but they’re all (the app makers) too chicken to do it.

personally, i don’t think that account wide ignore will solve any of the problems on the forums.

this is a forum for a Massively Multiplayer game… i just don’t think that isolating people is a good way to enjoy a game that is meant to be social and interactive with other people.

Sath–I dont either, that’s why I’m saying. The people who do this should also not be visible to the people they ignored so teh person who is ignored has no idea they’re being ignored. People who really want this shoudlnt have an issue with that caveat.

if this is implemented, eventually wow will just become a single player game because everyone will just have everyone on ignore.

So you want to be able to control what other people see?

Seems a bit more extreme than the very reasonable account wide ignore

if i had to give my opinion on the matter, though, i don’t believe that account wide ignore is very reasonable.

No.

Curtesy respect is given in general for when someone is unknown. From there based on their actions and words respect is either taken away entirely or applied more.

Sometimes respect should never be given, because some people are so beyond the pale of what is acceptable they destroyed any chance at it.

i should respect other people and their opinions.

Churches shouldn’t be needed for you to have a moral understanding of respect.
