Because the problem isn’t the 50 alts it is the person behind them
Who says we don’t want both.
Game development and Forum development are 2 idfferent teams. In fact forum programming is actually done outside Blizzard by a company that Blizzard gets the program from (Discourse) so Blizz doesn’t actually have to use it’s own physical resources (employees) to actually have it done. All they have to do is tell Discourse is what changes they would like and then wait to see if the changes can be done or not.
Because it it is the behaviour of the person, not the alts. And I should have every right to ignore the person in full, not just 1 of the 50 alts.
Who says people here only want the forum to improve. The forums do play a key role in part of the WoW community, and one thing that can improve the game, is the forums. Because people’s behaviour is usually what the community has to deal with on the forums and in the game. Because of the toxicity.
Same thing as always, shady people trying to argue against account wide ignores, likes, flags, posts, etc. while literally reinforcing why account wide everything would be a vast improvement over the current WoW forum system it’s kind of ironic honestly because you would think they’d quit at some point rather than just carrying on and adding example after example of why account wide everything would work much better but here we are.
Ah got you so same ol’ same ol’ then.
Yup same ol’ you know what different day
I mean, I wish they’d make up their mind. They keep saying that’s what they’re doing, but most of the time they’re talking about completely unrelated things, like I saw someone after I went to bed was going on about how we’re fighting to remove toxicity despite no one here having said that but them.
it is always of the same ol’ thing. It only gets quiet in here when people are asleep, or the mods taken action against individual behaviour.
I can’t say I see what any of them tend to say outside of what people quote to reply since I personally have them ignored but I’m not surprised like surprised because they are all known for derailing threads as a way to get them hidden or deleted.
That is true. Very effective trolling method
yeah, i would agree with that. even if i don’t agree with someone’s opinion, i will still respect that opinion.
But most people would - or should - have reasonable lines to not cross, given certain opinions are inherently harmful to the whole or a significant portion of it (without going into politics, this can be left at “directed at specific minorities”). It’s dangerous to give respect to every opinion without exception.
In which they shouldn’t be doing in the first place. But since they’ve suceeded in doing it a few times, and knowing they can get away with it, honestly, the moderation should actually look into the behaviour, rather than letting people get away with such behaviour.
even if someone has an opinion that you think is unreasonable, i think the best option is to just be respectful of that opinion regardless.
… no. I am not required to respect an opinion that is targeted to delegitimize.
I will not give respect to an opinion when such person of the opinion has openly admitted to dropping people like flies when they become friends, messages of self harm, or encouraging Sunday threads, which usually consist of either hate speech or trolling.
Then by your logic, I should treat those who have called for… some rather ugly things on these forums with respect.
No.
yes, my logic would be to treat everyone with respect…
Am I required to treat someone with respect who calls me or others like me mentally ill for my identity? No.
Am I required to treat someone with respect who alleges I or others like me are a personification of evil? No.
Am I required to treat someone with respect who alleges that I or others like me should not exist at all? NO.
