Another thing to add: if one on our ignore list is quoted by another, hide the quotes from us as well.

Agreed! A full exterminatus of any trace of the person blocked should be implemented! I will add this to our growing list of wonderful ideas.

You had an incorrect opinion and that is perfectly fine… it is actually a good thing that you communicated the incorrect opinion to these forums because you gave me the opportunity to provide you with the correct facts.
now you know that the verified facts show us that account wide ignore is not healthy for the community of the wow forums and you are a better person for having learned it.

You can’t verify your facts because the system proposed, in it’s entirety, has not been implemented yet, which means that you can not test your theory.

You have failed to prove my opinion incorrect. All you have provided is fear mongering theories. Theories you can not provide any proof to back them up due to not being able to properly test them.
I would appreciate it if you stop trying to insult me. Calling my opinions incorrect when you provide zero verifiable evidence is insulting and harassment.

oh friend, im sorry but we both know that you havent provided any facts to support your proposition, so it can never be enacted, especially since i have provided numerous verified facts that prove that account wide ignore is bad for the health of the wow forum community.
since you have no facts to support your ideas, there is simply no chance that it will get implemented…

so why dont we do this? you go search and try to see if u can find any facts to support your position (facts that are verified to be true, same as my facts)… once you present some verified facts to support your position, we can revisit this discussion, ok?

That’s interesting… because you keep echoing… over 100+ times in this thread that you have verified facts… yet you can’t have them because you have no test bed to implement your theory on and test it… to obtain verifiable facts.
I never made the outlandish claims of verifiable facts because I, unlike you, know that it is impossible to test these theories on the current forums. Once again I implore you to stop accusing me of lying… or I will have to escalate this to a harassment report.

Sir… if you want to take credit for single handedly getting the Account Wide Ignore system implemented you can… but we all know the truth… you only assisted and suggested the addition preventing any character on the account from being visible when ignored.
Your facts can’t be verified because you can not properly test them.
Do you need assistance, brother, on how to verify facts? I suggest a test bed. You can’t use your findings from this forum as a test bed because you can not properly test your “theories” due to the system not being implemented.

I agree, but it’s more than the right, but the responsibility. Otherwise, we have the right to forget that thousands of otheres play this game too at the same time and make it truly a single player game.

If the ignoring is done right, I don’t mind if it’s done to me. I do business with what’s left. Even if nobody is left, I can use the forum as a message board for putting out information for the lurking types.

As i said above…its not the only time theyve done that. Demanding account wide blocks to stop alt hoppers, then hopped alts to try force us to interact with them lol

Evidently the rules for the forum have been changed recently to omit personal attacks and name calling as a violation based on how long that crap has been going on and there isnt a moderator in sight.
And in some cases might make your day better as the ones you ignore might be ones that ruin your day if you read what they post,
There is also the fact that unless we name individuals instead of just attitudes, it can be a bit hard to claim personal attacks, in fact some can claim “hey, I did not attack them, I just pointed out an attitude or how they are coming across, if they felt like I attacked them, that is on them not me”. In this case, the posts before were just Adilith and myself discussing saying “I am putting you on ignore”. we never called anyone in particular out or anything, just the idea that certain behaviors are common from certain types of people.

Im not the one in here demanding that people stop hoppings alts. I couldnt care less if they do, to be quite honest. Not my business if they like changing it up.
But when they do it, then TELL you they did it to get past the block WHILE THEY are the ones screaming that everyone stop doing that exact thing…yeah…

Ironically Im FOR account wide blocks…even moreso than they are…I want TOTAL blackouts. I block you, you cant see me, I cant see you.
The only thing I dont want is any Btag or account ID# showing on our posts.
if its any consolation to you, Im LITERALLY in 99% agreement with them and HAVE been in every one of these threads on getting the block, and they STILL attack me every time this topic comes up.
you have to start asking what is really going on here at a point.

I think the issue is along the lines of you are not 100% in agreement or you sometimes come across, due to that 1% disagreement,. as being on agreement with the other side. It is not uncommon for people to take a “if you are not 100% with me, you are against me” stance when most are likely in between.
I still don’t understand this point. All Blizzards other forums use them, so what’s the issue with this forum using them?

A secret that dirtier than a Bush 41 secret is that people are not going to get along with just anybody. We may been fooled that just because we all play WoW here, that makes us all more relatable than anyone we know in the real. So we think there should be no conflicts, and we’re conditioned to think that if we’re the aggressors in ignore events, we should be made to feel bad. No doubt it’s out of touch with reality. I’ve been in places where you’re not going to get along. I believe grade school was one of them, but you still have to behold their existence in the classes every day.
