oh ok, we have another wonderful forum user who is kind enough to confirm that when someone ignores a person on the forums, we see a “hidden message.”
that is great, thank you so much for helping me support my position regarding account wide ignores and how it will enable harrassment.

Yea I think after a certain number of count the thread change to a true ignore. That happened before when the btag reached over 10k

Which, by extension, makes them “the rules never apply to me” type. No one is above the rules, not even the ones that make them (it is just harder to nail them for it). The sooner certain types realize this, the sooner we can have civility in the forums with or without things like account wide ignore.

Some posters in these topics also come across as they type to ignore common sense advice like “don’t poke the bear” and then cry when the bear mauls them because they poked it.

Let’s face it. Common sense is not something some poster in this thread has
as they sit there going “I’m not touching you, I’m not touching you” for nearly a fifth of the thread, then cry to the moderators that people got upset about them even though they never touched anyone

Your concern is your concern about people being targeted and harassed… ok…
So Ignore will no longer present the message “hidden reply” it will display nothing, as if the post didn’t exist, for the person placing you on ignore. Since your concern has now been addressed we have this to say to you:

the reality is that you bypassed my ignore list with an alt and then ask for account wide ignores to keep people from bypassing ignore lists.
then u say that some people think the rules don’t apply to them.

Technically common sense went out the window ages ago, at least as far as how people act in places like this if not all over.
you have no proof that the account wide ignore will be implemented that way.
i just don’t think it is a smart idea to wait for account wide ignores to be implemented to address this.
what if account wide ignore is implemented and they don’t get rid of the hidden message view?
then people will already be able to find people’s alts and harrass them in game, by then it will be too late.
best we just don’t implement account wide ignores in order to be safe.
And thru your constant support of Account Wide Ignore we will ask that this be included as a safeguard to protect the people you are so concerned about. Thank you again for your tireless support of Account Wide Ignore.

oh ok, look another person insulting me… harrassment is already happening on the forums, why should we implement account wide ignores in order to enable further harrassment? that just is not a good idea. i guess i should say thank you for demonstrating that harrassment already occurs on the forums when you insulted me.
you are not blizzard… you have no control over how they implement account wide ignores… so you cannot make this statement.
sorry but it is just so much better to be safe than sorry.
we cannot allow account wide ignores to be implemented on the wow forums because it will enable stalking and harrassment in game by allowing people to find alts on the forums.
