So flag the posts and if a mod feels they break the COC then they will give silences, suspensions, etc. honestly I’m never gonna agree with you because I feel people like you should be called out for jumping character to character to bypass ignores, I mean we all know who you are and who your characters are so why are you pretending like you aren’t one of those people.
Take a moment to scroll through this entire post and point out any of the alts I’ve posted on.
So you don’t do it on this thread, doesn’t change the fact people have linked stuff and you even got mad about it because you got called out for your bad behaviors, as I said don’t be like that and you won’t have people call you out, it’s not a hard concept.
Technically posters shouldn’t be bringing up that kind of history as topics to be discussed either.
Hence the need to re-address the boundaries of the CoC, since while the behaviors don’t outrightly break the rules they come very close to it.
Or…
Y’know, they do the one simple fix that would cut out the core problem behind it and not duct tape the rules around the big broken spot for too much longer?
Sock puppets don’t rule these forums.
If they did, Blizzard would’ve done something. Shrug.
Priorities are simply different for them.
They’re just a big annoyance, and the fragmented forum ID causes a few problems.
And there’s no need to call out people behaving badly by say evading ignores if they can’t just hop characters so much that they could fill up your ignore list on their own and still have plenty of options to keep going.
Someone I think in this thread actually gave numbers on that between retail and all the classic versions I was shocked it was that high, lol.
yeah, forget if they said it this thread or the last one, 100 between the two classics and 60 on retail. and infinite rerolls.
Bumping a vote for account-wide ignores and even battletags on the forums! One name, one post! actual people couldn’t care less that you trolls don’t want it or think it would be “bad for the forums”. It would only be bad for you and nobody cares!
The blue dracthyr guy even admitted that it would curtail his ability to hide on alts and sock puppet. It’s all about self interest, not concerned about others.
Randomly checking this thread but I have to say lol
So much this post !!!
But you literally just said that the CoC needs to be changed to make pointing out that someone is posting on an alt actionable.
If it was a cut and dry change then there wouldn’t be 1000+ replies to these kinds of threads.
Plus Blizzard doesn’t look to take sides or draw lines between posters, they just keep things running here.
If people didn’t insist on coming in to threads asking for changes to improve the forum experience for the average user just to throw whatever they could think of against the wall in an attempt to get the thread shut down regardless of whether it directly conflicted with something that they said previously, made no sense at all or was outright misinformation, it would be a quarter as long and likely fade away as people moved on to other subjects.
In the absence of any activity from Blizzard, posters tend to turn on each other.

I agree random citizen.

Like when you ignore someone it should just be their account
that feature existed since the beginning of time. you literally just got to not read their posts or respond. grow up. it is that simple.
Not on the forums, in game yes.
