Can we get account wide ignore?

But if there was an account-wide ignore, you could ignore the people berating you with a simple couple of clicks and never have to hear it from them or their alts again. You know, taking responsibility for your own experience on the forums.

Likewise, if you don’t want people finding your alts, you could turn off the sharing of your armory data with third party sites. You haven’t done that either. One thing about Blizzard is that they’re not usually inclined to help people who won’t take the most basic of steps to help themselves.

Morning peepz. Just my on-going support to have account wide ignore to make the forum a much better place

EDIT: also I see our friendly trolls are hard at work keeping the thread alive by consistently bumping this back up. Keep up the good work :+1:

but the thing is that blizzard has given people the option to turn off info sharing so that third party websites wouldn’t be able to link people’s alts to their mains.

if blizzard went through the trouble to initiate that system, why would they just ruin it by allowing account-wide ignores on the forums to link everyone’s characters together?

i just want to be able to post on the forums without all of my characters being linked together.

it prevents in-game harrassment from people on the forums.

i believe that this language isn’t really necessary. there is no need to insult people like this.

The thread says 3k replies on the outside, but there’s just barely over 2k on the inside. They have indeed been busy.

They’ll just find a way around it.

Update the CoC first, increase moderation and you might see an effective change in forum conduct.

As it stands, Blizzard lack of response shows they don’t consider it a high priority for it to warrant any further comment. This is just a small group of posters screaming as loud as they can, over a non-issue.

I mean, it would be nice if the mods came down harder on people playing them with feigned civility while they throw around nasty accusations. But really, the minor change to accounts would close a big hole that currently exists.

This is a Discourse issue, not a Blizzard issue they just rent out the forums.

Make up your mind RItahayworth .

Either you support account wide ignores or you don’t

Well, I do hope they see this.

Maybe they’ll implement the account wide ignore that is needed.

Time to do away with old dinosaur system and bring in a new advance updated system that works for account wide forum ignore.

No it isn’t.

We don’t write the rules, Blizzard does.

Discourse handles the moderation team.

How exactly.

What do you think needs to be updated specifically, and to what?

That’s actually not true. Discourse is the software that the forum runs on, but Blizzard bought a license for it from them and have modified the code over time. The forum mods are internal Blizzard employees regardless of the forum software. Vrak clarified that a while back in the CS forum.

Increasing the boundaries as to what is considered a call out.

A good chunk of the posts in this thread alone is just posters ragging on one another.

Don’t troll, harass, stalk, bypass ignores with alts, etc. and you won’t have people calling you out or ragging on you, honestly it’s not hard to do.

Shocking.

They’re again calling for people who are sick of trolls to be punished by the mods for complaining about trolls, but let the trolls off.

There’s no picking or choosing what is considered justified or unjustified chastisement against certain posters regardless of their status or reputation.

Either all of it is allowed or none of it is. There is no grey area here.

From what I’ve seen here no one that hasn’t been a shady person bypassing ignores to continue to troll, harass, stalk, etc. has been called out so sorry not sorry and I don’t agree with you, it’s entirely justified to call out people for being what they are, don’t like being called out don’t be like that, again it’s as simple as that.

Be fair, the people who are really against this have been pretty quick to call out all of us as horrible harassers, stalkers, nasty, rude and so many other things just because we want the ignore function to actually work.

Not according to the CoC, or Blizzard.

Forums aren’t mob rule.
