yeah i believe that option was given to us in mop when account-wide mounts, achievements, titles, etc. were implemented.
Why should we have to fill up our ignore slots (if there is a limit) because we have to keep ignoring alts of those we want NOTHING to do with. The simple fact is an account wide ignore will mean little to ones like you but it will enable some of us to have peace of mind and a shorter ignore list as if we ignore the account, that is 1 slot, instead of characters which can be 50+

ok, the four or five people asking for account wide ignores in this thread may feel good, but then the thousands of other forum users would be at risk of people maliciously using the account wide ignore feature to find their alts.
in my opinion, account-wide ignore is not needed and it genuinely creates much worse problems than it solves (since it doesn’t really solve any problems that the current ignore system doesn’t do already)
Because some of us… you know just want to truly ignore the individual in question for good, not to have ignore 25+ of their alts and still be ignore evading.
Your defending a system that is broken and needs fixing but you want dismiss those said changes because you don’t want be ignored as easily, just admit that you don’t want to be ignored as easily.

Thank you for this, because you saying this only paints you as one that would likely do such, and I have to say if ANYONE tries to do this, in a way that comes out to be harassing, they there is a little feature called REPORT. If one gets reported and found out to be harassing, they can get a vacay from the forums, maybe a permanent one, how many would be willing to risk that just to get someone?

i’m defending a system that works perfectly as can be shown by the fact that only four or five people are complaining about it when the thousands of other forum users don’t have any issue with it.

oh so you’re saying there may possibly be a punishment for someone finding someone’s alts?
but that doesn’t stop it from happening and usually the damage will be done before the punishment can take place, which is bad.
let’s just prevent the damage from ever happening and not give the forums account-wide ignore… it’s much safer for everyone involved.

Since I have him on ignore . Maybe you could ask him “Why is it such a big deal to him that not everyone wants to see what he has to say”?
It’s not like he has a right to be heard by everyone just the ones willng to hear what he has to say .
And you just proved why we need account-wide ignore. To me, you prove nothing to me. I never said what you say would happen would not, but I will say that if it did, you and the others who defend this system by saying such would happen, are going to be the first in my sights as to why.

but you logged onto an alt and bypassed the ignore by replying to me directly on an alt… so i am going to report you and ignore you again…

Maybe they need a Flag Option [Changing toon to bypass ignore]

The thing is, with account wide ignore, he would not have had to see the reply on my alt to him, nor have any reason to report me. But if I started getting harassed on my alts by him, he would just prove that the ones against the change are those that would do what they are saying they don’t want to happen.
It is getting to the point I think that any who speak up against things like account wide ignore (and even if thousands use the current system fine, that does not mean that same number won’t be fine with the account wide ignore) just like to make it so people have to do more to ignore them then a 1 click cover all set up.
For me, I’d just take, at least as a first step, if I have to input the name/search for the character (due to profile being hidden) I have an option to find alts and ignore those as well.

I’m going to just say that enough people have shown that they can’t be trusted with this whole infinite identities for free feature that it needs to be removed.

We could always continue pushing for BTags as well too. Stop them from continuing to hide on alts pretending to be someone else.

Which doesn’t it isn’t perfect when someone finds a kink in the armor (flaw within the armor to put it simply) and they begin exploiting it on some people.
If there is a kink within the armor, you want to fix it right or request for it to be fixed? this is why this thread exists.
Like I said, you can never truly ignore someone here because they swap characters and can keep doing till the point you end up requesting for account wide ignore on this site.
