im sure i am not the only one that thinks this and no, i do not play retail. i feel like this is a positive possible change they could add. LFG chat is absolutely ridiculous to navigate through at least on my server and finding a group is rough with all the spam. was wondering if this is a possibility

Like all the other changes that led up to retail.
Blizzard has the same mindset as you do. You will have retail by the end of BC. Some changes is on full throttle.
Group finder is one of the main things that destroyed this game. Finding a group, getting them together, running and summoning to dungeon all create the incentive to stay and finish the dungeons and help others who may be behind on mechanics.
Also, the lack of group finder increases the feeling of adventure. I love the meeting stone in the Bone Wastes. Sometimes horde and alliance are at the stone chillin and just wanna do their dungeon. Other times it’s a huge battle at the meeting stone.
This is what an RPG is all about and why group finder was one of the worst choices.
I also feel actually traveling to the dungeon you are doing is important. I don’t even know where dungeon entrances are in retail and that’s gross. It’s a lobby game after that.
These constant requests to streamline the game are what ruined retail.
Since horde are getting retail BG changes the floodgates are now open. So, sure, why not? 
There are also addons you can download that make it easier. I have an LFG Addon that monitors chat for me and I have had zero problems finding groups as a ROGUE

To be fair, many servers do not have enough players on their faction to be able to form groups. It will get especially bad on pvp servers here very soon.
It wouldn’t even be a change. Original TBC had a group finder. It is currently missing in Classic.
If you want the current retail-style LFD (teleports you to the dungeon, don’t have to whisper for invites, etc.)…forget it. Keep Classic Classic.
It’s not a good change if you’re asking for the auto populate LDF Ports you to the dungeon cancer we have in retail.
If you’re asking for just a simple group finder that’s absent from TBC that does nothing but aid you in building a group, well that was actually a thing in the old TBC and blizzard being blizzard looks to have wasted all their money on a special mount and a stupid Heath stone graphic rather than putting the original LFG in game.

Literally no negativity to introducing an LFG system.
However I’m wholly against LFD.

Currently TBCC is missing guild banks and Group Finder. It’s bull poop and lazy Blizzard shenanigans. They did the same thing with keyrings. Took ages to get that.
