Yep more azure span
The division between your understanding and mine of what “fair” is, shows the picture as two different things.
As an achievement / feat of strength so to speak that was designed to be completed before the end of said expansion. Regardless of the players understanding of when / where the completion date was. Since in fact, many people knew it was coming.
Shows and proves this to be a limited completion event. For those players that are unable to complete it for whatever the reason. Justifyable or not. That’s on the player. Instead of working within the confines of the timeframe, people that wholehearted push for change do not necessarily understand it’s not their rite to complete this. Under those circumstances.
Is that harsh? No.
Using absolutes in your discussion to say what is obvious and what isn’t. Is all in the eyes of the beholder. I see things different to your perceptions. As do many, many people. While most of the outcry is in favor of your ideals on some of these forums. You and others telling me I’m wrong, when it’s a difference of opinion.
Which is exactly the reason I say this. I intend to provoke conversation. When you can’t argue (as a person) to change my mind. It’s still an open discussion.
The division between your understanding and mine of what “not that difficult” is, shows the picture as two different things. If you mean to “provoke” a conversation, get off your high horse and use some common sense and empathy. Just because something can be done over time before doesn’t mean it has to be unnecessarily inconvenient.
are you reading what you are writing?
Can we get these just turned account wide, all I need is fire in the plains, which i have the 200 kills already account wide…, heck make all of the achievements for this account wide, I’m in a similar boat for the Legendary Album, where i have everyone photographed, just not on the same character.
They need to get 2 storms active at the same time and have them on a specific equal rotation.
I am also missing fire in the plains.
Don’t worry We only have this clown representing us
Why are you on the community council if you’re essentially just here to troll people who want less silly RNG? Most people aren’t asking to remove the achievement. They want to complete their 200 kills and aren’t having to check to see if it’s up every 3 hours. If people are working, sleeping or spending time with their families, they can’t just go check WoW to see if their storms are up.
If one could know for a fact a storm would be up at 3AM on Wednesday, they could conceivably set an alarm and do it, but the storms are 100% RNG, so you can’t plan ahead.
Genuinely wondering this as well. The lack of common sense is astounding.
If you don’t understand how I want the essence of the achievement to remain. How I desire people to participate in the challenge of this and not opt out by changing the fundamental of the criteria.
Everyone prior to youall has completed it properly. As should you. They all have lives. Deal with it.
Nevermind, disregard. Someone who’s basically completed all the achievements in the game is never going to have the perspective of the much LARGER amount of people who want to play a video game and not pull a slot machine to get something labeled as an “achievement.” By definition an achievement is “a thing done successfully, typically by effort, courage, or skill.” So tell me what effort, courage, or skill goes into setting an alarm every 3 hours to see if the rng gods have blessed you? If things aren’t deterministic in some way they aren’t even achievements to begin with.
They could at least let different servers proc different storms. Making it game-wide makes it so you can’t even be a little deterministic by hopping around realms to find what you need. Making the criteria of a deterministic meta achievement indeterministic is just bad game design. You lack critical thinking skills otherwise.
These childish posts just show you shouldn’t be on the community council.
Well looks like some more Azure Span today =/
It’s one thing to challenge folks, another to rely on pure luck because the event’s broken. It’s not about who has more time to play; it’s about everyone getting a fair shot.
Pushing for keeping a broken, RNG-based achievement is one thing, but expecting everyone to wreck their sleep just to check on it every 3 hours? That’s wild. This isn’t about dedication; it’s about fairness and basic health, honestly.
You’re in a unique spot on the WoW community council, and it’s cool you can play on streamer hours, but most of us can’t live like that. We’ve got different schedules, commitments, and yeah, we need our sleep. It’s about finding a balance that works for everyone, not just those who can afford to check in 24/7.
Let’s not forget what community stands for. It’s supposed to be about all of us, not just the few who can game around the clock. We should be working together to fix the issue so everyone gets a fair chance, not just those lucky enough to log in at the right time.
My whole thing with “why didn’t you have it done back then?” With storms is:
-they were relevant content for a short period of time
-the rewards were lackluster overall
-the carrot to chase 200 kills per storm were 1) an achievement for points 2) if you were farming elemental lariat, you could have coincidentally completed it (which is how I had 9 of 16 storm achievements done by the time 10.2.6 came around)
-as a catch-up gear mechanic, iirc, there were other more viable methods
So yeah, like, my bad I didnt grind out 200 kills per storm, I think by then I was busy in the Zskera Vaults or getting the Forbidden Reach meta which seemed more relevant and current content at the time.
Well its more Azure Span Day AGAIN
Do you work for blizzard or the players? Cause you sound like you work for blizzard defending these terrible designs. Do you even play the game, cause I’m sure most of the devs don’t.
I think they may be responding with Ai but idk people weird
PLAINS sand
Yeah finally a change lol! I needed this one actually. 6 to go
