Can we get 8 Non-layered Servers at Launch?

Man its almost like you are making a solid business argument for not having layering at all.

No, I’m stating that either you have it, and the launch is smooth, or no server has it, and the launch is a horrible mess. If only RP servers got it, they would be an even more horrible mess while the rest of the servers would be relatively smooth.

If all those people would prefer genuine servers instead of layered fragments of servers,

5% of the population is still enough to destroy the RP servers while not constituting anything more than a niche. You’re talking orders of magnitude difference between what a non-layered server can have, the people who are stubbornly refusing to accept layering, and the number of people intending to play.

15,000 (assume roughly 5 RP servers).
150,000 purists.
3,000,000 players.

Since its basically the same topic, same applies. Either every server has to be layered and the launch is smooth, or all servers are unlayered and the launch is horrible. Any non-layered server would be swamped by a niche larger than its lack of layering can survive.
