I find most multiboxers people complain about are those that do it to a more serious level to the point they only use ingame gold to fund their accounts, the issue with most people is they over exaggerate how much they affect the economy and because once out of the entire year they were one shot by a multiboxer but they weren’t intelligent enough to go to another area or better yet turn their warmode off.
The multiboxing community I’m sure is such a small % of the player base it doesn’t even matter especially when there may be hundreds if not thousands of multiboxers but i doubt very many of them play to a very serious level or even cause issues like these people seem to be running into.
I personally haven’t seen a multiboxer in years, I’m sure I could find one by going to nazmir where they farm but if I was getting ganked by one I’d just turn off my warmode. As far as the economy goes, everything posted is typically ruined by uninformed people that undercut by large amounts thinking it’ll make their stuff sell faster but mostly only hurts the economy and profit margins of everyone else.
But all in all I just think it’s jealousy, kind of like how lfr players complain they can’t get mythic raid ilvl gear from lfr, so blizzard gives them visions and the weekly cache yet they aren’t good enough which both 15s and visions are a joke to complete in 15-30 minutes, they even hand out 5-10 items a week from invasions/visions/m+ cache and that’s not even including the gear they get for farming m+ most of which don’t understand that you start on the bottom and move your way up but expect to start at 15s then complain about not being able to get into groups, the answer is right in the question, make their own groups or just get better and start with a lower key.
You don’t instantly start on the highest difficulty unless you want a challenge, if you can’t overcome the challenge it probably isn’t the best choice to start there, but the ignorance of the player base in wow or in life in general at least for me is entertaining to watch, it doesn’t bother me or affect me in any way other than blizzard catering to these types of players which I do have a problem with. As long as it’s within the rules of the system get over it as far as I’m concerned.
Btw was just a general statement towards it and everything else they complain about. The game is in a pretty crappy state due to these players as far as I’m concerned, I just hope SL gets rid of them by making things more difficult.
I see 6 to 7 groups of separate multiboxers on Frostmourne cluster every day. Either camping quest hubs to one shot people (go Drustvar, there is a permanent Mboxer resident there), farming jelly at Stormsong, or just farming herbs and mines in general.
Tbh I only have a peeve against the hypocrites who screw the game for others, then act innocent when people retaliate. If you act selfishly, do not expect hugs and kisses.
I have friends who make statements like “The pvp in wow is like less than 1%” because of their own personal experience with queue times. However, we also know they are very wrong to base such statements on personal experience alone.
I see a lot of Mboxers who run around with 10 or sometimes even more than that amount. I do not assume to know why. Maybe they just enjoy being able to one shot people with a button. Who knows? Yet Mboxers on this forums go “no way that is not how I mbox”.
Every Mboxer is different. Why typecast them?
I get ganked easily by non Mboxers just as I do groups of people camping Mechagon entrance with a DK waiting to grip. There is almost no difference in the same way we get stunlocked and die. It is also 10 v 1.
Just as the Mboxers in this forums say, nothing these complaints will ever amount to anything.
Everyone have their right to enjoying their game, as long as their enjoyment are not built upon others’ misery. There is nothing “these players” do that we have seen have any effect on the gameplay for the “elite players” base.
And since the subjective is ascendant in the interpretation of proofs relating to existence and consequently that interpretation is the only way to prove the existence of everything else.
Then we all do definitely agree that not all multiboxers are bad.
If the prices are dirt cheap and theres a good market, flip and make some gold on it.
Best way to deal with it is just craft and sell stuff. Ive been making a killing off old stuff in engineering lately.
I’ve always wanted to ask, and I hope you’ll indulge me: does killing the “lead” character, the one the clones follow around, throw off your boxing at all? Whenever I come across a boxer in the wild, I like to try and kill them just to see if I can take down like, 7 turkeys who all only have like 300k hp. Sometimes I manage to take down 2 before AMS runs out and I die instantly.
In one such event, I killed the “lead” and the whole group of clones started like walking around seemingly randomly. Does killing the lead toon do anything?
NO! I laugh every time I see someone say this. Maybe there is some setup that some multiboxers run where this can occur but for me all my characters are identical and if you kill one I can swap to another and there won’t be any difference other than 1 less character.
He may have stopped caring after a certain amount of his characters were killed “well if he can kill 4/10 already I’m not going to bother trying” or he may be new (like me) and gotten excited (panicky) and hit the wrong buttons too much and that can cause issues depending on what he’s using.
With melee teams if you spam press interact with target (to attack) strange things can happen sometimes my guys will just say “screw this” and start running off or they’ll run circles around wherever I told them to go. This is one of the reasons why you rarely ever see melee teams.
Boxing melee is really slow and lame, you have to give the game time to realize you’ve switched targets. With range you can play like you normally would but with melee it’s like target mob, kill it wait a couple seconds target another mob kill it and then the same with looting. If you just try to play like normal some of your characters would still be targeting the first mob and go to loot and some will attack the new mob and some will decide to pick a mob off in africa and run through a pack of mobs to attack that. It’s slow and tedious as melee Q_Q
It shouldn’t affect any of the smaller multi-boxers. It’s easy enough to Alt-tab and take control from another one. Now if you hit a multi-boxer with a fear…
Multi-boxers have saved me more than few times against elites. I agree most multi-boxers are pretty decent. But I hate when I come across twenty moonkin burning down every quest mob in the area.
Although blizzard has completely removed /follow from battlegrounds/Rated battlegrounds.
In arenas it’s a bit different.
I am able to follow in stealth up until I enter pvp COMBAT, I.e attack someone, or get hit. Immediately after these actions are done (entering pvp combat) it will break my follow, up until I exit combat.
In case you are curious to see it in action.
note- this is not a bot, all keystrokes are being pressed by me disclaimer some might say it takes no skill, if that were true, how am I the only person that is doing this, at close to 2kcr in 3s
Most are using Multibxxing to capitalize off of Gold Farming…
They are making real money playing wow and with all the gold they are making, I highly doubt they a giving Blizz a cut of their credit.
