Can’t decide on a class

Anyone else having this issue? I keep going and back and forth on what I actually want to play. Hunter? Warrior? Mage? Lock? Rogue? Paladin? Shaman? Priest? Druid? I can’t decide and it’s driving me nuts lol

Not me because I intend to play all of them except for warrior (don’t like tank).

Just get them all to 10 and go from there. If during that process you find yourself playing one class beyond level 10 instead of going to the next class, well you have your answer~!

What I did on ND was create a toon, get them to level 5, get professions and then park them at an inn.
Did that for all the toons I wanted to play on the first day.

Thought I would main a warlock (mained a hunter back in vanilla) but the hunter called out to me and I ended up maining a hunter once again.

suv hunter its easy and op right now even if it gets toned down bm is good to.

Roughly this is what I plan on doing. You get to reserve the names you want and if you decide to go back to a different class, you at least get some rested XP to go along with it too. I have a hard time sticking with one class anyway.

I’m planning on making at least one in each start zone (so 3) to start with… night elves might be easier to play on the first day than humans (depending on what everyone else roles for their first). Druid, dwarf priest, human paladin. Probably a night elf hunter and a mage and/or warlock eventually. Maybe a rogue.

I struggled to pick a class for a while too. I went between shaman, priest, druid and warlock. I’m pretty hard set on druid now and have been for quite a while.

I plan on maining a tauren druid and I’ll have an orc warlock as my “main alt” who I’ll use to farm mobs while my druid is resto spec.

I’ll probably also make at least one more character. I’m leaning towards troll priest as my secondary alt.

Whatever you decide, just keep in mind that if you want to raid and you want to play a healing class you should be prepared to heal. Non-healing specs are great and I plan on eventually PvPing on my druid with a feral/resto hybrid spec, but for raiding you’ll contribute the most as a healer. And IMO if you join a raiding guild you should be willing to do what is necessary to progress the guild through raids.

I have an army of alts, so I say play them all. Have fun.

If you have any specific goals, preferred roles, disliked roles, races etc. you might be able narrow your choices down considerably.

I’m leveling everything I can in Retail right now but only to about level 90 (because I have no reason to push further).

I want to try and figure out what I want to do. I know Retail isn’t going to have what Classic will but it at least gives me an idea of if I might like it or not. I started with a Shaman and liked it. I’m working on a Druid now and liking it. Next is going to be a priest or Warrior. All depends on what my partner wants to level next.

In short, I’m in the same boat but I have plenty of time to decide.

I’m trying this approach — I never played alliance in vanilla… soo I’m going to play ally pala. I think it will be fun trying the opposite faction for the first time in vanilla… on top of a class I never played in vanilla either (was an alt-o-holic in vanilla…) that’s how I decided FINALLY

Well there’s a couple ideas I had in mind but every time falls short lol really wanted to try ret paladin just because but dropped that idea real quick lol. Feral Druid came to mind but after finding out the crazy amount of farming you need to do to stay competitive that idea also flopped.

Then I tried rogue cause it was the only class I have never leveled past 5 but got it to 20 on a vanilla server and didn’t really like it. Hunter was my go to class but reading how bad they fall off later on kinda puts me off. 400 dps In MC and then only doing 650 in Naxx kinda sucks. Warlock seems fun and from the look of it at least on alliance seems underplayed which would be nice I guess but soul share farming later on sounds like no fun.

Mage looks kinda fun and never really pve on one did a lot of pvp on it in original vanilla only got stone guard tho lol they do absolutely insane damage early and later on tho which is always nice.

Thought about tanking but would have preferred tanking on a Druid rather then a warrior and again the amount of farming needed kinda put me off, thanks manual crowd pummeler lol.

And then there’s always healing but never really been a fan of healing lol…

Also I have leveled one of everything to at least 30 except for rogue and warrior which only made it to 20 on unnamed classic Server recently but can’t get past that due to changing my mind shortly after. It’s been a struggle.

If you do the same in classic then you will eventually end up with 1 of each class at level 60 !!!

Just play them all a bit at a time and get them all up to 60 eventually.

I actually did the same thing recently. My hunter though is 10+ levels above the rest because I play the hunter more. I actually like sitting at the character selection screen going …“which one do I want to play today”.

The more I think about it the more I think warlock may actually be the best choice, I like playing the more underplayed classes, alliance warlock would fit in that category. They are basically needed for raids which is nice they do fairly good damage, and they can grind effectively which is how I enjoy leveling hate quests… hmm maybe I just decided lol

I’m always indecisive about what character to play. Even in tabletop I’ll have like 5 character sheets and decide on the character to play the night of the first session(but once I pick, I stick with it until the end).

To add to this, I’m also going to have an alt very early on that’s meant to level with my friends. I already know I’m going to vastly out level them, so I want a second character sitting at their level so we can still play together.

Right now for my main I’m thinking Priest or Warlock. For the alt I’m thinking Paladin or Druid.

Somewhat have this problem…

I want my OG main/alt classes (lock/Rogue) since they had my favorite design for both classes at the time…

Beyond those, I have interest in Frost Mage, Shadowpriest, Enhance (maybe some Ele) Shaman, Arms warrior, Feral Druid, and Ret (never had an alliance toon, and my TBC main was ret)…

I keep talking myself into playing one of those as well, but the reality is I want to raid at least through BWL on both the lock and Rogue, and finding the free time do that much is going to be exceedingly difficult, if not outright impossible as it is… So I’ll probably just end up with a lock, a rogue, and a ton of 10-45 lvled alts that never get touched.

having a blast on my hunter which is my new main.bm is good and suv hunter is really good.

other wise the usual you always see rogue,dh and warrior.

Hi There! I am interested in finding someone to run with, we should make a class together and run it?

Me too! I’ve been researching and relying on what I remember. Legacy wow site is somewhat helpful.
I’m leaning lock or mage but also warrior. Everyone needs a tank or off-tank.
Both lock and mage seem good but simplistic. But I guess what class isn’t in vanilla
