Exactly, why not make raid loots all BOE so they can be sold in AH? It is literally the same thing as GDKP. Blizzard made powerful raid loots all BOP for a reason.
What a stupid response lmfao.
The people in gdkps aren’t buying the loot off the AH, they are literally doing the raid and killing the same bosses as you.
The only difference is the loot method.
They could play duck duck goose for the loot, they still killed the bosses…
I did with my guild.
Something’s really wrong with you.
Guild name?
Remember when they banned gdkp in SoD and Dinkandbink didn’t show his face for like two weeks on the forums…
He’s a little man, a gnome even.
They’re not. I roster and put the group together for my guild’s weekly AQ40 GDKP. I never ask people how much gold they have or if they’re a buyer or whatever. I don’t care. I just want people who will pull their weight.
The raid isn’t so we can make gold. We run a GDKP for AQ40 because it’s easier to roster. More people sign up and last minute fills are far easier to find. We used to use a different loot system but it became too much of a pain to roster and we were often running with less than 40 people.
People who are breaking the rules of the game don’t make it pay to win. They’re just breaking the rules of the game. If that falls under the definition of “pay to win” then literally every game ever made is pay to win. I could pay for a game genie and make Super Metroid “pay to win”. But we all know that doesn’t count because it’s cheating. You can make WoW pay to win a hundred other ways without GDKP if cheating counts as pay to win.
Based on TSM I’ve made over 700,000 gold selling items on the AH that I made. I have much less gold than that currently. So I’ve spent far more in GDKPs than I’ve made. I’ve never bought gold. Which category do I fall under?
Step 1 is entirely unnecessary if steps 2 and 3 are taken.
No. Stop doing that. When you get defensive you get personal and you get ugly. I’ve seen you do it to other players. FTR I’ve seen them do it to you, too. Just stop.
Our guild did clear HM TOC, LK and RS. We were just forming up during Ulduar and we did not clear mimiron or Yogg on HM. We talked about going back but we just never did.
I never said I cleared HM with a pug. But I have run with a few good pugs where we cleared HM bosses and had a really smooth run. I’ve also run with some terrible pugs.
This whole issue is your comment that you won’t make alts without GDKPs. It’s a bizarre statement since literally millions of people have done so and literally millions of people have geared up their alts without GDKP.
You insist that literally everyone who ever has participated in a GDKP both buys and sells gold for real money. You also have claimed multiple times that people are posting on multiple characters. Then you have the audacity to accuse someone else of gaslighting.
Amazing.
I won’t make an alt if the only pug options are SR’s. I don’t even pug on my main if the only pug option is SR’s. I know I’m not the only one. Just because you CAN gear up an alt in SR’s doesn’t make it a fun experience. I raid because it’s fun. Carrying a bunch of bad players through bosses so they can win the roll against me for the one item I still want is not fun at any point in the experience. And that’s assuming they aren’t so bad that I just end up with a raid ID and no clear. This is exceptionally common in SR’s. Not only that, plenty of SR’s are hosted by absolute scumbags.
Ex of scumbags: Guild hosted AQ40 SR, announce literally at C’thun that someone’s SR’s supposedly didn’t save and they (likely an alt, given they were in t1/dungeon blues) have 2x SR on t2.5 chest token. How do you wait 3 hours into raid to mention this? How do you wait until C’thun is being pulled, to mention that this person is on the token. Then when asked about this behavior they grief the next 2 pulls intentionally and call it a night.
Classic wasn’t designed for you to get something every time you raid. Perhaps entitled people need to find another game.
I like how the only thing you took from that is that I think I’m entitled to loot. This is why I don’t pug. You people are willfully ignorant.
It’s not about getting something every time I raid. It’s not dragging people who are afk/only auto-attacking bosses for 99% of the raid to loot while I get nothing but repair bills and consume costs. Sorry I want quality runs whether it’s a pug or not. We had quality runs with GDKP’s. SR runs are 99.99999% of the time not quality, ergo, I do not do them.
I don’t even care if I get loot. I just want smooth clears. I’m not interested in 3+ hour clears of easy raids. Loot happens from clearing the raid. I can’t get loot period if the dogwater pugs can’t clear the raid. At that point, for the sake of my mental health and not burning out, I have more fun not participating in SR pugs.
Yes it is. Otherwise you wouldn’t have said the following:
But you won’t complain when those same people get gear because they outbid everyone.
Here’s an idea, join the pug discord. Look for successful pug runs and sign up. Or have your guild plug you into their raids like 99.9% of guilds do. Like I told Drink, millions of players have geared up their alts without GDKPs. You could too. But you won’t because you want to get something every time you step in a raid - either gold or gear.
I don’t have to complain because those people aren’t in GDKP’s outside of explicit buyer carrying groups run by RMTers. Freak. It’s wild watching the mental parkour you losers have to employ. And guess what, those buyer carrying groups, tend to fill most of their roster with top 100 level players intentionally to carry the 1-5 giga bads paying for loot. That run is STILL smoother than your guild runs. That’s wild isn’t it?
My guild on SoD raids 1 night a week. We do AQ40. That’s it. If I want anything else I have to pug. I’ve seen what the average wow player is capable of, watched the wipes on HM Hakkar lead to immediate disbands. Watched people leave after a particular boss because their item didn’t drop. Watched raid groups fall apart because the same 5-6 people can’t dodge Ony breath during air phase.
I have 0 desire to interact with these people.
It’s also hilarious how many geared players, like actual phase bis every phase somehow, come out of SR runs and are by far the worst players I’ve ever seen. We had a new warrior in our AQ last week, he did like 1k dps on average and interrupted 0 times. This guy had 6p of core forge and 2p draconic, ashkandi, cloak of draconic might, and the javelin from ony. Actual phase bis from previous phase. Doing 1/3rd my dps because he doesn’t know how to play, literally competing with our prot warrior on dps. If you think the average pug is much better than that you’re hopelessly lost.
Ye so you havent done it.
If you cant prove it im not going to entertain the BS any more, all yall stay duckin.
Yeah its why you had to find some video on page 88 of youtube with 0 comments to find a pug that did it, when i can link you 100s of payout sheets from gdkps that did it np.
Your pugs suck, point blank.
There is going to be far less people playing alts.
Gdkp ban comes with positives and negatives.
I just find it truly hilarious all the antis are hiding, you dont find that wild?
GDKP is and always has been a cancer.
Meh GDKP is a fine way to farm gold. But it’s a terrible way to get gear obviously… and those “cuts” raid leaders took is probably why it was banned in the first place, as many of those insane cuts were then sold to gold selling companies for real money.
The reason they banned it is to encourage guilds obviously… pugs have always been the worst way to raid, finding the guild that works for you can be a challenge but I made friends for life in those, so… /shrug
However Blizzard could compromise and add a new loot system that mimics why most people enjoyed gdkps… meaning people have an incentive to run until the end and people always get something out of it if they don’t get loot.
Just for sake of brainstorming, those extra chests at the end of BWL are a good reason to stay until the end, they could iterate on that, like I don’t know, raid leader or majority vote could decide to do like AQ and click a gong to stop the raid and show loot chests.
And you could decide at the start of the raid if you prefer have a chance at loot or loot gold from bosses and those chests would give you gold instead if that’s your reason to raid.
Guilds were already encouraged. Most players were doing GDKP’s on alts while guild raiding on their mains. Very few people were doing GDKP as their main way of raiding.
Even still, communities like Stax exist because of the need for vetted GDKP groups because people don’t like raiding with bad players, much less pugging with them. And Stax was (maybe still is? I haven’t needed to pug in ages and left their discord) larger than probably any guild.
because GDKP IS connected to RMT, you can see by all the replies who the people who bought gold are. Blizzard should investigate their accounts to see if they’ve bought gold
Everything with gold is connected to rmt.
