Can someone explain who benefits from not releasing ssc/tk?

The game literally launched with less content in 2021 than in 2007. There are people defending this decision somehow because blizzard “said they’d do it” which makes no sense because blizzard could also say there would be all content out at release and then it wouldn’t be different. You should actually defend why this is somehow better - why is getting less content and having less things to do actually better than having more content?

I kinda get people have some sort of weird satisfaction seeing people quit when they themselves play 1 hour a day and spend 10 hours on the forums. But unless you actually just want tbc to fail please explain how this is better somehow? SSC and TK were out at release of tbc.

Edit: Tbc has become a nostalgia loot collector simulator. It’s no longer an mmo, there’s no challenging bosses, no balance patches to fix pvp, etc. It’s just for people who want to collect free loot every week.

Oh no, you sweated out all the content and now you’re bored.

it benefits people who plan to stick around for more than 3 months.

You said 3 days ago you were done with WoW style MMOs in your other thread yet here you are.

Literally everyone. By not rushing through T4, we allow more players to consume it fully and to not feel rushed to go straight into T5, and it doesn’t automatically invalidate a lot of content.

So you prefer to raid karazhan only every week rather than being able to do ssc and tk also?

You want to do 5 raids a week? Or do you want to do Mag/Gruul’s once and then never touch it again?

How much time do you think the average raider has?

This right here is the answer to OP’s question.

Okay so couldn’t they just release with no raids? Then it would give people time to experience leveling and heroics.

November 3rd Season two - if season one lasts 20 weeks like in original tbc. Then you can have your T5 raids ty.

No? Because the raids are intended to be in at launch. T5 was intended to be open after attuning, but the launch of TBC and the launch of TBCC are two wildly different things - since we knew exactly what to do, we could have burned through all of T4 in the first week and already been working on T5. That’s just not a good way to design the game when the playerbase is already well known for consumption, especially not for the longevity of it.

Do you want TBCC to be over in less than a year?

SSC was released at launch and now you’re talking about what’s intended? The developers intended for ssc and tk to be in the game. So how can you even bring what the developers “intended” into this since you’ve already explained how that doesn’t matter to you?

By your logic we don’t need kara in the game. Make people do heroics every day instead so they can fully experience them.

I have a question, why on earth would you want to speed run through an mmo and have new raids release whenever you clear out the previous one, just to have nothing to play afterwards?

If you read what I wrote, I said that while t5 content was available from the start, it was never intended to be the endgame incredibly early in the expansion. It was intended to be available to the hardcore players when they were ready for it, but not to the point of invalidating t4 in less than a month.

The developers working on Classic recognized a very large problem before it happened - honestly, a rarity - and took steps to make sure that it didn’t happen.

Kara is t4 content, and intended to be done immediately. T5 is not. The slow start to t4 allows players to clear the current raids and still have time and reason to do heroics.

Because the expansion is literally better with at least t5 open. Wrath will also suck when we can only do naxx. This is pretty much where blizzard loses 90% of the player base and they never get them back. Vanilla sucked when you could only do mc and ony, and it was way better at the end with zg out and aq 20 but most never experienced that because they quit as soon as all they had to look forward to was mc every week.

No, it’s not. We already have 3 raids and there’s no reason to rush out content that invalidates those raids. This would only cause people to burn out or quit, and vastly shorten the lifespan of the servers.

Also, T7 content has Naxx, EoE, and OS.

the majority of players are still leveling, and are probably just setting foot into heroics. if they were to release SSC and TK right now, they would probably be cleared within the first day, and then were back to this same type of post asking for BT or sunwell.

Cool, well I’m not gonna sit here and raid karazhan and wait around for them. Time to play final fantasy or some other mmo instead.

Me.

Dude just shut up with this nonsense lol. What person who has already ran through all the content by now is going to go “you know what? If they don’t release SSC right now I’m just never going to play this game”. They may take a break, but these people always come back. Don’t be stupid.

I’m not poopsocking this expansion, and I hit 70 just a couple days ago. I literally just finished my attunement. If you open SSC that put me and everyone behind me at a massive disadvantage. Not to even mention, the pvp season just started man. You want to open these raids and have season one gear be basically worthless lol. We asked for these phases to be broken up like this for a reason.

If you already ran past everything then go play a different game for a minute. Take some time for yourself and do sometbing else and just raid log if you’re so bored already. You did this to yourself.

You think people will come back you’re wrong… they’ll come back for wrath clear everything maybe come back for icc then they’re done. It will be the same with tbc, people will quit and wait for sunwell come back and quit again.
