Thank you!
Should have left the message shorter.
“In order to preserve the integrity of the game
• Players will no longer be allowed to purchase a WoW Token”
What a bump to push something so untrue.
You very much still can purchase a WoW token, what they essentially want is some way to prove that a real person at least owns the account.
It means you would have needed to spend 15$ on a sub once in your accounts life time.
Which is honestly completely reasonable.
It probably wont hurt gold sellers too much, but they would all need to pay 15$ now. Im all for this as more money for the devs is good for the game.
Chill. They get LESS money when we pay cash. Whether it comes from my pocket or someone else’s, Blizzard sees $20/mo in their bank account when I use gold, and $15 at most if I use real $USD. If this is a cash grab they really screwed up.
Most bots don’t pay for subs. They earn enough to cover their token and profits.
This will force accounts to become more legitimate.
If botters decide to use a stolen cc they can now report these accounts to local/Federal agencies more legitimately and prosocute gold sellers.
Granted this only works with the dumb ones.
@blizzard so i have to pay 15$ a month because you want to restrict being able to buy game tokens in game for gold …so you can waste my money even more. I pay in game gold for game time instead of my hard earned 15$ for stunts like this authentication problem you seem to go through often.
Can someone explain this like I’m 5?
Yes I can. You are too young to play this game, now eat your spinach.
no it means you can’t make a one month account buy a token. you have to buy at least 2 months of subscription time.
