Can someone check the drop rate of Blueprint: Utility Mechanoclaw?

Months, MONTHS I’ve been farming this. I’m spending more time in Mechagon than I am in Dragonflight because it’s the last thing I need for Mecha-Done, and it shouldn’t take this long. I started working on this back when BfA started, and was very dedicated to finishing the achievement pre-DF, but I’m still here.

Several people on WoWhead have stated in the last month that it hasn’t dropped for them. I sent in a ticket and got a canned response about how to research achievements /rolleyes.

Can someone at Blizzard PLEASE check if this is dropping with the proper drop rate?

Well no one is gona check it here ur better off posting in the bug forums.

I posted in the wrong forum. sigh

The drop rate isn’t cumulative for how many times you run the dungeon. It resets each and every run.

It’s been years since it’s dropped, dude. I know how this works, but something’s broken if people have been complaining about it recently.

No, that just means they haven’t had the internal roll they needed for the item to drop. Sometimes you get lucky, most times you don’t. I have been farming the Phoenix mount since TBC and still haven’t seen it drop. I run that raid on multiple toons each week as well. But, it still isn’t broken.

Wowhead says the drop rate is 26%. Other achievements have been broken in the past, why can’t you accept there might be something wrong?

If you feel it’s a bug, report it either in-game using the bug report tool, or in the bug report forum where the people who work on such things go.

OMG dude read my post. I already reported it.

Just to touch on this part - this is all they could do. Asking for drop rates is essentially asking for a game hint. Drop rates aren’t something that Blizzard themselves put out, it’s estimated figures based on what is being reported - and these things are not always accurate because they’re not specifics provided by Blizzard.

What you’re saying could very well be a bug, it could just be absolutely miserable RNG. Yes, Bug Reports are a one-way kind of deal, unfortunately. You are not likely to receive any interaction with a Dev through there.

What you could try is giving a tweet to @WarcraftDevs, see if you get a response through there. Only Devs fix bugs, and that is the only place you may get a response and interaction with the Devs rather than GMs, who handle tickets.

I don’t recall Blizzard ever telling what the drop rate of an item is unless they specifically increase or decrease it for a reason.

They are, however, inclined to often confirm or deny if an item still drops.

It sounds pedantic, but try asking the devs if the item still drops rather than the specific drop rate.

You said you sent in a ticket. That is not a bug report. To report a possible bug you need to use the in-game bug report feature or post on the Bug Report forums. They will look into it but you will not get a response. If you want further information, you might want to post in the Achievement forum.

Afraid no one from blizard will tell you what the drop rate is!

That’s not what I asked for. Where did I ask for the drop rate? I asked to CHECK it.

In my line of work, a Jira ticket IS a bug report. Same thing. That’s what I did.

Where did I ask for the drop rate?

WoW tickets aren’t JIRA tickets.

But Jira tickets can be bug reports, so…

Only if you report though the in-game Bug Report feature or in the Bug Report forum.

Which I did.
