But they do now as a mixture of both available political groups in form of the Void Elves. Time’s over for this children games, the Alliance is getting their own form of High Elves. Other playable races need more attention now.

I’m not against them getting the appearances. I’m talking lorewise about Helves being wishy washy on the Alliance way back.
If Belves all decided not to be a part of any faction after WCIII, that would have seemed reasonable too. They had been through a lot at that point.
I need Koala customization for my panda. I’d like a toggle to add a baby on my back and a toggle for a pouch where I can keep things that I need when on an adventure like an extra bag.

Pandas really do need a lot more customization.
Trolls need beards, glowing tatts, golden eyes, and beautiful Amani skin color and body type.
Elves need nothing more until the rest get attention.

Ultimately, I think this boils down to the faction system being too restrictive on the narrative. It’s as simple as red vs. blue and will never be more nuanced than that. Everyone needs to fit in either slot, and the story cannot deviate in a way that would preclude those red vs. blue loyalties.
When are we gonna get our Horde vs Alliance Cold War where we use spies and proxy nations to do our dirty work for us.
I wanna see the Orcs try to rally a small part of the EK to declare it’s independence and then rule it by proxy by supplying it with goods. Then Orcs have to murder the revolutionaries trying to do the same thing in Kalimdor.
I’m so tired of ‘Horde did something to make Alliance mad, we fight, we stop, we fight together, we get mad at each other again’ like clockwork.
I think really I just want Goblin Tropico and customization to be very El-Presidente like.

I actually find this to be remarkably pertinent to modern society and probably the most true to life aspect of the faction system as it stands.
That is unfortunately true. There’s no room for individual opinion or nuance - it’s simply us vs. them.
Tauren have had 4-5 faces for 16+ years. Globally, we are most significantly visually identified by our faces (e.g., driver license, passport, etc). Feels bad.

there’s really only 2 more races i we need to get before we should call it quits on adding new races, and that’s the forsakken undead and earthen dwarves
… we have playable Forsaken Undead. Playable since 2003, if I recall. But I’ll take Earthen, even though there is still inarguably more to add thereafter.
I know this is a couple days old but I never knew I wanted this.
