On Cata classic I moved to a PvP server because I find PVE boring (from Pagle to Bennidiction). Then I found out I can’t play with my friends so I decided to buy another transfer to move back. Then I found out there is a 30 day cool down on it. I’m only playing this game right now to play with my friends. Is there anyway I can move back? I just want to move my level 80 Paladin back. If I have to wait 30 days I may as well unsub and not play Cata. Also, I tried doing a ticket but kept getting an automated response. Hopefully, this will work or I’ll at least get an answer. Thank you.
No.
The cooldown can not be bypassed, not even by a GM.
Nothing to talk about!
Sorry but a gm is unable to bypass the 30 day cool down timer. When you transferred it warned you about the cool down. This is one of those things gm’s can not override!
Well that’s dumb. Considering it’s probably an automated process and I’m paying them to do it
This is noted in the fine print, it’s not blizzard’s fault you didn’t read it:
Automated yes and it is set that way because the devs want it that way. Be glad it is not like when BC was live and the cool down was 6 months and there was no faction changes.
It’d be really cool if a GM could respond tho
No Gm’s here and the reason you got the ticket response you did is because they can not help!
My friend said it worked for him back in MOP
Your friend would be mistaken, There is no way for a gm to override the cool down on a transfer. Trust me like you I tried back in BC and was stuck waiting the full 6 months. Be glad it is only 30 days.
Next time might be a good idea to make an alt on the new server and see what it is like before you transfer.
Well hindsight is 20/20. I just won’t play cata classic then. There are too many games out there. It’s fine.
Yes great hindsight and read all information before you do something
It is part of a system, yes, that you may pay for, but the system is set up with specific limitations. We cannot overwrite those limitations just because someone wishes to. Otherwise, what is the point of having the limitations in the first place?
In either case, I’m afraid we’re generally unable to reverse the transfer. You are welcome to put in a ticket to speak to a Game Master, as none are on the forums, but we want to set the expectation that you will likely receive the same answer.
There are a lot of them out there, hopefully your friends, who this seems to have been all about playing with, are able to join you in wherever your gaming takes you.
Good luck.
