oh and this was as accurate as the day I posted it.
I told people that the night elves would get a new capital in 2-3 expansion from Bfa and they got it. The only incorrect portion of my prediction was that it would be an expansion hub and not a final raid/zone thing that transforms into a capital.
Absolutely you can. Other than an impossible to predict scenario (raid turns into capital), you were spot on. And four years ago. All while avoiding what everyone was suggesting as the more obvious alternative (IE, a regrown Teldrassil).
It was so interesting too. Everyone seemed dead set on believing the night elves(sometimes forsaken) would never get a new capital and this destruction was permanent.
When we had a taste of how destruction works in WoW thanks to the park district. Sure it will be a huge destroyed mess for a couple of expansions. But you will get something new to replace, and some may even argue better thing to replace it.
Then we just have to agree to never agree on it because I like the place. It is suppose to be a solemn place for everyone in the Alliance who has experienced loss and how even rulers of the Alliance are willing to give up their lives to protect it.
You’re partially right. It’s not going to be a replacement for Darnassus in that it’s going to be the same as other player capital cities.
It’s also not going to be a night-elf only city. Horde will be welcome in most parts of it. There is one area where Horde hostile NPCs will be present and I’m going to guess is that where the Night Elf part of the Horde PVP acheivement is going to be relocated to.
I’m wondering if the Darnassus Mage portal spell is going to be relocated here or are we getting a new one… or none at all.
I soo miss the old park, had such a beautiful night elf vibe to it and it was a super popular spot for RPers. A lot of us were upset the day it got destroyed
What I’m glad about Classic is that I get to visit Teldrassil and quest there again. Not because of nostalgia factor but because I can enjoy the vibes and atmosphere. The purple shadow all over the zone is just magical. So far no other zone, not even Amirdrassil, has been able to replicate IMO.
Fingers crossed Devs choose to change Amirdrassil’s green/sunny sky to a more dark/purple one.
That would get me to shut up (at least for a while) of the nonsense it was to place it far away from Kalimdor.
