Thats not a misrepresentation as there are several lawsuits in court right now over it. You have several companies from sweetbaby inc to Disney to the current gaming fiasco that have openly admitted to hiring discrimination. to the supreme court ruling that colleges can not discriminate against Asians any more.
DEI is based on discriminating against those supposedly in power to right the wrongs of past discrimination.

Just because a lawsuit exists does not mean the entire concept is bad.
It can just mean a few specific bad apples misused it.

i think we might be overlooking something here. modding comments is perfect ‘make work’ for people who could never do a real job. going by the amount of my comments that have been removed in this thread alone i am probably creating gainful employment for at least three people.

You do understand that the only way things can be made equal is if we undo the horrific harm that is still going on today…right?
Or is your goal just for minorities to forever be held back?
Legacy college applicants are a form of racial discrimination, for example.
So how do you want to go about that? Is it by perhaps discriminating against others?
And what happens in 100 years when the majority now become the minority that has been discriminated against do we than swing back and forth for all of eternity until the bells ring on judgment day?

Your arguments are to suggest that everyone who is not white, needs to be held back.
How do you repair that damage otherwise? I would love to hear your suggestions. Because it seems to be, “it will all fix itself in another 100-200 years”. And I do not find that acceptable.
i just find is interesting they can afford to employ a dedicated team to police speech here… while i have reported bugs that have been reported by many others before me for YEARS that remain unresolved.

There is no need to discriminate at all. Hire and judge people based on what their character is and not on their skin tone, sex, height or any other factor they had no say in.
All your present discrimination to fight past wrongs is going to do is cause future problems without end.
Stop trying to deflect. Again, they have had people who serve in the GM/Moderator roles for 20 years. They have a game development team for each game. They have QA for the games who check for bugs, document bugs, pass bugs to devs.
It takes many different groups doing their jobs to make things run. Cutting moderation would not impact bugs.
You can have 4chan if you want - go there. There are people who feel that no moderation is fine. Most private property is not that way though and that is their right. Just like you have the right to stay off their private property if you don’t like it.
The Govt does not have the right to curtail you criticism or jail you, but you don’t get to insult people, use profanity/masked profanity, and try to pick fights here.

Easy hire based entirely off peoples ability to do a job.
We should work towards equality not equity.
Equity is a horrendous idea and we can clearly show that with the following example.
Woman are not equally represented in the stem field. In order to ensure equity we therefore need to force woman into the field, or deny men jobs because there are to many men.
Forcing people into something they don’t want to do is wrong and denying people the ability to do a job they wish to and are well preped for is also wrong.

this only is fair if everyone had the same starting point.
you are suggesting a 100m race where one group started at the half way point is fair. because everyone starts running at the same buzzer. and whoever wins should just be whoever crosses the line first. and we ignore the advantages that behave been systemically instilled
we have 200+ years of racial inequity. it can be suddenly fixed by waving a hand.
for example.
college legacy admissions are overwhelmingly racist. this means if you are a minority you start behind.
we had racial programs designed to create segregation on housing. and those schools are objectively worse than certain counterparts. this is another step behind.
pretending none of this exists is dishonest at best.
i realize you spend most of your time in the hallways, but you have been in classrooms enough to understand how math works, right?
if a company has a budget of X, and A + B + C = X, where A is mod teams, B is developers, and C is money spent to silence victims of abuse, then you do comprehend that increasing the quantity of A necessarily means decreasing the size of B, right? (obviously C is non negotiable)
