I’d say the meltdown in Jan 2021 showed a lot more.
But neither are actually relevant.

When you started there was no action on his part just asking to remove an this could be offensive warning cuz of a simple mistype. Obviously suck is a terrible word or a great word depending on context. I still can’t see how you initially thought fighting him over that was worth it unless you were trying to bait him
what does it have to do with the overall point? it perfectly aligns with, and demonstrates, my earlier observation there hasnt been an adult in three generations.
which is why you all seem just fine with being treated like you are in a day-care.
Is your argument that engaging in a public topic with a disagreeing opinion is an excuse to break the platforms rules?
We’re not talking about the election or the public’s response to this.
We’re talking about Blizzard’s house rules, which have existed through five presidencies so far.
No one is dying here. It’s a question of how the forum gets moderated. Forums that don’t get moderated at all become cesspools. I’m not offended by cusswords, but I won’t defend anyone’s right to bully.
That said, I haven’t always agreed with every moderator’s decision, let alone the auto-filters. We can always have healthy debate around where to draw the lines.
For the human moderators: I appreciate your efforts, even when I disagree with a particular call. You have an often thankless job, but the forums would be gross without you.
It does not as it did not occur in a place with rules against what you said or here. No one is saying you can’t feel the way you do, I have clearly said if you dont like the rules of the place you voluntarily signed up for, you can leave.
my argument is that the vast majority of rules are stupid. new ones are always added, old ones are never revoked… and eventually you end up with a rule system so convoluted that A) EVERYONE is a criminal, and B) you need to hire a professional to decode it for you.
see every legal system in the world.
Conservatives have taken a really weird path over the last decade.
Very interesting to watch.
You agreed to them and paid the company that implemented them (rules that have been in place for over a decade btw).
Options for people who don’t want PvP rage whispers from randos is just that: options.
Why are you so bent out of shape over it that you’re in here insulting the general population? Turn it off like the rest of us and if it bugs out, try the options I mentioned and then talk to CS if it persists.
curious does your friend maybe have the option enabled? not sure if it works both ways.
No of course not. He got flagged. It’s his fault he got baited but I do think the massive amount of forum participants who sole purpose is to bait and argue and agitate should also get vacations as well. Like you know you wanted a flaggable post and I probably could list all the people who flagged his post quite easily
conservatives and lefties are both tremendously stupid in my rarely humble opinion. and frankly, i cant decide which is worse.
anyway, this was fun, but im gonna get back to actually playing the game now. cheers all.
No one’s a criminal because the TOS isn’t legal and the worst that happens is you get kicked out of the game
No criminal procedings can follow (except for actual death threats I suppose)
“Not being an jerk” isn’t really that difficult.
You say that like OP wasn’t the first one to make this thread political.
Nobody is out to get you little buddy. Nobody cares about you that much.
Forums are the actual game.
No, its his fault he posted against the ToS in response to normal, not rule breaking forum engagement.
He is responsible for his actions, not people engaging in an open thread.
Rules are bad unless its ones I like.
To be fair the ToS is a ever shifting thing its never been hard rules. The people who support the ToS today are not the ones that did in early wow.
Times change, what catches people off guard is they can change back to.
