We got the retail transmog appearance collection mechanic instead of void storage. Because storing old gear is not necessary to transmog it, Blizzard decided not to implement void storage.

I know why we didn’t get it it’s just that I have stuff in my bank that are just going to permanently sit there, never to be used so it’s just taking up space.

55 items that’ll just be sitting in my bank and while sure it’s not like my bank is close to bursting I’d like it if there was another place I could keep them and since there was already another bank in the form of void storage, it could be used as a place for those items.

26 slot bags give you 182 bank slots plus the 28 = 220
Even a packrat like I am has been able to keep my bank fairly clean… but I will never depart with my Light of Elunes! And the cthunun (sp) tank neck, since in retail we didn’t clear AQ40 before TBC was released. I’m keeping that.
There’s a saying, if stuff is still sitting in a box after you moved 6 months ago, throw it away. Same with stuff in the bank.
Void storage is just a store and forget it exists entirely, so I stopped using it, I keep all my rare tabards, artifact weapons and legendary items in my regular bank. If anything, a reagent storage is so much more useful for keeping the bank clean so I can dump more rare items in it.
Right now I use my mailbox as bank storage for my mats.

Void Storage was explicitly announced as not being for transmog.
