Diseases were spread by pestilence later being spread by blood boil not applied by. Pestilence could refresh diseases on the target with a glyph, but you had to manually put diseases on the target.
thank you kel for teaching me the history of a class i already know so well
anywho
with the diseases back it would be cool for oblit to do extra damage per diseases
also obliteration via pof is really hectic for just 12 sec. it would be better if KM and Rime were on all the time resource free and genning extra rp. FS crits.
of pof was 20 sec the press x to make y happen would feel better
Diseases were applied by Icy Touch, Howling Blast (for frost) or Plague Strike.
Pest and Blood Boil in later expansions, were how you spread them. For instance Blood would Icy Touch, Plague Strike, Pestilence (or Blood Boil in later expansions because pestilence was backed into Blood Boil) to spread the diseases around.
I would like more diseases back and abilities to have their damage increased based on the amount of diseases present on the target. Blood and Frost had 2 while Unholy had 3.
I dont like Unholy Wound system, and Apoc could easily be changed to summon ghouls based on primary diseases presence (Frost Fever, Blood Plauge). For it to be equal it would have to summon 2 ghouls per each of those diseases.
Festering strike would have been great with the wrath dk rune system. It costing 1 blood and 1 frost would have worked well in wrath design. Could have had 2 festering 2 scourge strikes one rune rotation and then the next 6 scourge strikes.
i like being able to walk up and chain 6 people up front without having to waste 15 seconds converting runes to death runes.
the old rune system is inferior. and wounds are just a resource, atm it does damage, but it could do fun stuff like summon an army ghoul or add stacks to necrotic plague.
the new rune system is capable of allowing you to mimic the keypress playstyle of the older cata-wod system while also allowing more open and free playstyles with less rigid and predicable rotations. this makes it objectively better for all situations making itâs superiority not a matter of opinion. both systems are superior to the wrath system in that they dont have rigid predefined rotations.
tbh they havenât been all that fun since legion, a few moments in BfA, but theyâve been dead all SL. but i get why some people donât like them, i remember proposing a build i think for 9.0 that overhauled unholy into having 3 options for playstyle: disease, pets, and weapon strikes. with talents altering festering strike to apply stacks of necrotic plague instead of wounds.
Personally I donât like the disease management aspect for frost. Thatâs an UH play style which suffers with instant burst because the ramp up is so slow.
I like frost just having FF and itâs application is incidental with your rotation.
The rune system now isnt superior, in fact there are more complaints about it now than there has ever been but it seems like you are one of the only ones that like it.
Wrath system was better because runes began to regen the instant they went on CD unlike now where you have to wait for 3 to finish before the next 3 start, and blood has it even worse in that it doesnt have Runic Corruption or Empowerment so it gets nothing back.
But yeah⌠hitting chains over and over is just makes it superior⌠yeah ok.
Why propose 3 different playstyles for Unholy when it used to be all 3 of those? Quit playing into blizzards crappy ways of thinking. Oh we will take away things you had for the entire spec, and break them down into their own playstyles⌠see we gave it back to you, just not in how it was. Get out of here.
And its posts like these that make people think the game is made for âcasualsâ which they mean bad players. You seriously cant hit plague strike when Blood Plague is about to run out, or pestilence which could refresh the duration?
they had a static timer that wasnât affected by haste. and if that 3 rune cooldown system is in fact a problem, then that specifically could be addressed. you just want the old system where there was no thinking and no skill.
How about answering my initial question instead of going on a completely different rant.
Why dont you think festering strike wouldnt have fit the Wrath build?
Oh, and if you actually opened your eyes you would see the other people that want different rune types back, or hate the fact that runic empowerment / corruption are so RNG in that you can expend an entire RP bar without a proc.
I also dont know why you say I want something without thought or skill when you said this
Its not the entire quite, but its the important part which means that you dont want any thought or skill, you just want to be able to spam a singular ability.
But what would one expect from someone that wants wow to be solo with a multiplayer option, goes into an Unholy Arena thread talking about padding numbers in epics and now all this.
the difference is that in wrath your rotation was preset, as in you must hit these spells in this order and then repeat that over and over with 0 variance or decision making. it was so easy i used to top dps while watching tv.
the modern system presents you with resources and makes you decide how to use them. under the old system i could chain 2 people and then that was it. no IT, no U/F abilities. the modern system lets me decide how i want to spend resources and on who, so if i want to chain 6 people i can, if i want to chain 3, dot, then hit festering strike into a doomburst, i can.
coming from you, who derails every single thread you enter and never has any intention of a positive productive conversation, that is rich.
